upon the receipt of an application for a building permit made pursuant
to and required by Article I Chapter 9 , -Revised Ordinances of 1925,
of the City of Jefferson, Missouri , to investigate and ascertain if
any provisions of this Ordinance would be violated by the granting of
said building permit, and if his investigation shows a violation of
the provisions of this Ordinance, it shall be his duty to make a
written report of same to the Chairman of the City Planning and
Zoning Commission and to the City,* Council.
SECTION. 3. Any person, firm or corporation, who violates,
disobeys , neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the
enforcement of any of the provisions of th.is Ordinance, or who helps
aids or assists in the violation thereof shall upon conviction before
the Municipal Judge be deemed guilty of Iiisdemeanor, and for each
off&nse shall be punished by a fine of not less than Ten ($I0.00 )
Dollars nor more than One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars, or by imprison-
ment in the City Jail for a, period of not more than Ten ( I0) Days, or
by both such fine and imprisonment , and each day that a. violation is
permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense.
SECTION. 4 . This Ordinance shall be in force and effect
frora and after its passage and approval.

7 and- 8 OF A SUBDIVISION OF A PART OF ME SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION
12 TOV IIISHIP 44 RANGE 12, AIM. AUTHORIZING AND DIRPCTING THE I:iAYOR OF

WHEREAS, it has been shown to the City Council of the City
of Jefferson, tLissouri, that the owners of certain lots in Schmidt's
subdivision in the City of Jefferson, hissouri, as shown by the
original plat thereof, which said lots abut and adjoin certain por-
tions of said streets, have improved and occupied, and are now using
and occupying said abutting and adjacent &and so that said portion
of said streets have ceased to be of any use or benefit as a. public
thoroughfare and that it would not inconvenience the public or the
citizens of the City of Jefferson, 1!issouri., to discontinue and vacate
said streets as a public thoroughfare; therefore;
BE IT ORDA IIdED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFF':RSON
EISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION. Z. It is hereby declared that the City Council of the
City of Jefferson, I.iissouri, deems it necessary and expedient to vacate
and discontinue BakerStreet, Cauldfield Street, Hadley Street and
Hyde Street and all the owners of the property and adjacent lots
abutting on and adjacent to said portions of said streets , having
petitioned said City Council to vacate and discontinue. said streets
as a part of the public thorou(.;hf,zre of said City, therefore; said
streets are hereby forever vacated and discontinued as a bublic
thoroughfare and the power and right of reversion o2 said streets to
the adjacent and abutting; o,�iners , as is provided by the Statutes of
the Stta.te of I.:issouri , is hereby fully confirr:.ied, ratified and
