SECTIC11. I . That a sidewalk of cement concrete material
1.1.5 feet in width, 0.5 feet back from face of curb, on the South
side of Main Street, between Bolivar and Clay Street, and abutting
41 feet on 11hin Street owned by Jessie 1. Erhardt & Helen A!
Boyden, being the easterly part of the Inlot 276, sidewalk to start
at the Nest line of the sidewalk on Bolivar Street, and run Westerly
41 feet be constructed and built within 'thirty days from the service
of a copy of this Ordinance on the Owner of the property hereinabove
described.
SECTION. 2 . 17ithin two days after the passage of this
Ordinance, the City Clerk shall place in the hands of the City
]Marshal a certified copy of this Ordinance, and said City .Alarshal
shall serve or cause to be served a copy of this Ordinance on the
owner or owners above mentioned, by delivering a copy hereof to
said owner or owners or by leaving it with some member of his
family o-ter the are of 15 years , making his return on another copy
of said Ordinance , which copy shall be filed in the office of the
City Clerk.
SECTION. 3. In the event the owner or owners above fail to
construct said sidewalk as above directed, then the City of Jefferson
under the power and authority given it by its charter and Ordinances
will construct said siddwa.lk and will fassue a special tax bill.
against said property for the cost of the construction of said
sidewalk, which said special 'tax bill will be a lien against the
property above described.
SECTICur. 4 . This Crdinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and a?)z)roval.
