• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, SUPPORTING THE TARRANT
COUNTY MAYORS' COUNCIL LEGISLATIVE AGENDA
RESOLUTIONS
WHEREAS, the Tarrant County Mayors' Council has approved nine separate resolutions
either in support of, or in opposition to, proposed legislation; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayors' Council has requested the City Council of the City of Richland
Hills to consider approving a resolution in support of the nine resolutions as follows:
1. Opposing limiting Texas cities authority to levy and collect impact fees;
2. Opposing reducing municipal franchise fees for public utilities restricting municipal
authority for management of its rights-of--way;
3. Opposing restricting cities' authority to regulate the location of manufactured
• housing;
4. Supporting limiting the scope of the sales tax free holidays;
5. Supporting rapid transit development in Tarrant County;
6. Supporting improvement of efficiency and streamline implementation of state
transportation measures;
7. Supporting the diversion of state transportation funds from non-transportation
purposes back to Fund 006;
8. Supporting optional sales tax increase to fund rapid transit; and,
9. Supporting authority to issue state bonds for transportation projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXA5, THAT: The City Council hereby expresses its support of the
Tarrant County Mayor's Council and the nine resolutions either supporting or opposing proposed
legislation.

PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Richland Hills, Texas, by
a vote of 5 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions, on this the 12"' day of September, 2000.
