MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
SEC'T'ION, 1. That the City Council hereby finds and
declares that it is necessary to repair, surface and resurface,
at a cost not exceeding sixty (6V) per front foot, Locust Street
from the :youth curb line of Dunklin Street to the North curb line
of Atchison Street, all of said improvement to be within the
limits of sprinkling oiling, repairing, surfacing and resurfacing
District No. Ten (10� of the City of Jefferson, Missouri , all of
said work to be done according to the plans and specifications
filed with the City Clerk.
SECTION. 2. 'The City council hereby finds and declares
that it is adviseable and for the best interest of the owners of
the property to be charged with the cost of said work, that the
said work shall be done by Contract to the best and lowest bidder
the work to be clone under the supervision of the 1,ity Engineer.
SECTION. 3 . The cost of such repairing, surfacing
and resurfacing shall be def raid by special tax, to be assessed in
favor of the contractor, on the adjoining property fronting or
bordering on the Street where such work is done, in proportion
that the linear feet of each lot fronting or bordering thereon
bears to the total number of linear feet of all the property
chargeable with the tax aforesaid, in -the territory embraced within
this Ordinance. Special tax bills shall be issued, evidencing
such assessment, and shall become liens on said property, and
shall be issued and enforced as provided by law.
SECTION. 4. The cost of such repairing, surfacing
and resurfacing shall not exceed the sure of sixty cents (60e)
per;'front foot, per annum, upon property abutting upon the said
Street aforesaid.
SECTION. 5. All Ordin-ances or parts of Ordinances,
in conflict with this drdinance are insofar as they conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION. 6. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval

BE IT ORDAINED RY TH17 CITY COUNCIL 01' THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION• 1. That the grade line of the roadway of
Adams Utre -t, fron the South curb line! of Case Avenue to the North
curb line on Russell Avenue, in the City of Jefferson, lissouri,
be and is hereby established as follows; Beginning at the South
curb line of Case: Avenue, where the elevation of the Crade is
203.03; thence on a uniform grade alone; the center line of Adams
atreet to the North curb line of Russell Avenue, where the
elevation of the grade is, 196.40.
SECTION. 2. .A11 Ordinances or Darts of Ordinances in
conflict with this Ordinance axe hereby repealed.
SI C'T'ION. 3. 'i'bis Ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage and approval.
