within the limits of the City of Jefferson, Lissouri, not exempt
from taxation by the Constitution or the Laws of the State of
Missouri, as shown by the Assessment book of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, for the year 1931, and on all Lerebants and Ka.nufacturers
Statements , made as provided by law.
FIRST: For the purpose of paying all current expenses of
the City of Jefferson, 1.1issouri, for the fiscal Year, the sun. of
_.60 cents on the One Hundred Dollar Valuation.
SECOND: For the purpose of paying the interest on the
outstanding bonds of the City of Jefferson, I.iissouri , and for the
purpose of creating a sinking fund to retire the outstanding bonds
of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum of 25 cents on the
One Hundred Dollar Valuation.
THIRDS For the purpose of establishing and maintaining
a Free Public Library in the City of Jefferson, 3issouri , the sum
of 5 cents on •the One Hundred Dollar Valuation.
FOURTH: �'or the purpose of retiring Current Revenue Bonds
an amount equal to five per cent of all money collected for
current expenses shall be set aside in a special Fund.
SECTION. 2. It shall be the duty of the City Clerk to
cause to be extended in the appropriate columns, opposite each
item of the taxable .property on the assessment book, as returned
by the Assessor of the City of Jefferson, Idissouriv and corrected
by the County Board of Equalization, the amount of taxes required
to be paid by each person assessed, as provided by Section I of
this Ordinance.
SECTION. 3. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION. 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.

OF THE REVISIM ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS AIENDED
BY ORDINANCE INUMBER 3118, RELATING TO THE SALARY OF THE CITY
PHYSICIAN, AND TO BITACT IN LIEU TH MEOF A NEW ORDINANCE TO BE
KNOINN AS PARAGRAPH (g) 01' SECTICN 146, RELATING TO THE SAn
SUBJECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
AS FOLLOWS s
SECTION. I . Paragraph (g) of Section 146, as amended by
Ordinance No. 31189 be and the same is hereby repealed and a new
Section, to be known as paragraph (g) of Section 146, enacted in
lieu thereof to read as follows :
Paragraph (g) . The City Physician shall receive for his
salary as such, and as ex-officio milk inspector, the sum of One
Thousand Two Hundred 01,200) Dollars per annum, payable in equal
monthly installments.
aZCT ON. 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and efi'ect
on and afte the Iet, day of July, 1931.
