NO. 3407. All ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE USES OF FIRE; EQUIPI<iEi'1T
FOR FILLING CISTERNS AND PUMPING OUT BASEMENTS, AND FIXING A
CHARGE THEREFOR.

SrCTIOJ. I . The pumps , h.00e and other equip::zent of the
Jefferson City Fire Department may be used for the purpose of
filling cisterns in the corporate limits of the City of Jefferson,
or in purzping out basements or other places, under the following
conditions, to-wits
SECTION. 2. Any person desiring to use the service above
mentioned may apply to the Capital City Water Company, and by
paying a charge of three dollars to said Water Company, shall be
entitled to the service of the Fire Department in filling a
cistern to the extent of three thousand, gallons of water; one-
half of said three dollar charge shall be kept by the Capital
-City Water Uompany, and one-half shall go to the Uity of Jefferson.
Upon application to the Capital City Water Uompany, the Water
Company shall notify the Chief of the Fire Department, giving
name and address of the person desiring to use 'this service . . The
Fire 'Chief shall see that the service is rendered as soon as
possible after the notice is received, and shall report such
service to the Capital City Water Ucmpany and to the pity Clerk of
the Uity of Jefferson . The City Ulerk shall thereupon charge the
Capital "ity Water Uompany with the one dollar and fifty cent
charge, giving the name and address of the party to whom service
is rendered.
SECTION. 3 . The said Water Uompany shall report to the
City Clerk on the Ist day of July and the last day of December of
each year, showing name and address of all persons to whom the
aforementioned service shall have been rendered. and it shall send
its check with each report, drawn in favor of the City of .Jefferson
covering one-half of the amount of charges collected for the
preceeding six tuonths .
SECTIC.N. 4 . Fersono desiring the use of the Fire equipment
to pump water out of baserents shall make application to the City
Clerk and shall. pay a charge of five dollars, said charge to
cover the first hour or fraction thereof that it shall be necessary
to use said equipment in pumping out the water, and for each
additional hour or fraction thereof a charge of two dollars and
fifty cents shall be made for same. All fees collected for this
service shall be credited to the revenue fund, and this Ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its
passage and approval.
