violate any of the provisions of this Ghaptczf wherein no other
punishment is expressly provided, the same shall be 1ruilty of a
misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine of not less than three
dollars nor more than one hundred dollars.

BY GRADING, CU'HBING AND GUTTERING AND PAVING KITH ASPHALT 1ACADAM.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTIOtd. I . There is hereby 'levied and assessed at the rate
and cost price per front foot as specified in Section 2 of this
Ordinance, against the aggrepa.te lots or tracks of land fronting or
abutting on the roadway of Adams btret.!t, between Case Avenue &
Russell Avenue in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, for the improvement
of the roadway Adams Street aforesaid, including such grading as may
be necessary for the reception of a cement sidewalk, the sum of
$2060.39 as the total costs of the improvement of said street and the
number of front feet fronting or abutting, said roadway of said Adams
street aforesaid, between the aforesaid streets amount to 521.83
running .feet; the cost price per running; foot is :$2.94 plus : 0.95
per lin. ft. for curb & gutter.
SECTION. 2 . For the purpose of paying said improvement of
said roadway of Adams 6treet, between Case Avenue and itussell Avenue
there is hereby .levied and assessed the sun of �p294 and $0.95 per
linier foot for curb as a special tax against each front foot of
ground fronting* or abutting.; said roadway of Adaris Street between the
aforesaid str ets, and contained in such lot or piece of ground
fronting ar abutting said improved roadway of said Adaris street,
between Case Avenue & Russell Avenue.
SECTION. 3 . The name of each property owner or owners and
the description of each lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting
on each side of Adams street between Case Avenue and Russell Avenue
and the number of front feet owned by each caner or owners and
contained in the lots or tracts of land so owned and abutting said
block or street between the aforesaid streets and the cost price
per front foot for said improvement and the amount hereby levied and
assessed as a special tax for said improvement against each lot or
piece of ground fronting; or abutting said Adams Street or the roadway
from the center of the intersection of Adams atreet and Case Avenue
to the intersection of Adams otreet and i;ussell Avenue.
aECTICN. 4 . That the City Clerk is hereby instructed to make
out special tax bills in favor of the contractor Louis Brunner for
the within mentioned work in accordance with the Ordinances of the
City of Jeff rson, %:issouri, relative to said kind of work and in
accordance with the Charter of said City in regards to said work.
SEC`1'ION. a. This Ordinance shall take effect a:td be in force
