6ECTIC'N. I . it annenrinr- from the written rc,port of the City
Enr-ineer, the Officer in charf,,o of.' the work of construction and
completing sewers, in newer District No. 52, in the City of Jefferson
L.issouri , heretofore submitted by said Cfficer to the City Council
and approved and filed by it on this 1'7th. day of August 1931, at a
regular meetin(; of the City Council held on this date, that the total
cost of construction and coripleting' of said sewer as constructed,
amounts to the sum of p3475.259 and it further appearing that said
report of said Officer did apportion said costs against the several
lots or pieces of ground in said Sewer District No . 52, exclusive of
streets in proportion to the area of the whole of said District No. 52
exclusive of the public and it further apper,rinc.; thu.t the
total nurlber of square feet contained in the aggregate number of lots
and pieces of ground situated in the said sewer District No. 52,
exclusive of the public hip-hways therein amounts to 401,249.00 square
feet. And it further appearing frori the said report that on proper
apportionment of said costs such lots or pieces of ground in said
Sewer District No. 52 so situated, each square foot of ground contained
in 'said. lots or nieces of ground in said Sewer District No . 52 is
chargeable with lb a sum of 0 0.008662 per square foot.
Now, therefore, for the purpose of paying for the work of
construction of sewers in said Sewer Listrict No . 52 together with
all necessary laterals , inlets, catch basins, manholes, and other
necessary appurtenances thereto appertaining, there is hereby levied
and assessed a�'alnst the several and hereinafter described lots or
pieces of ground within the bounds of said. Sevier District No . 52,
situated in t:he name of the respective nar,e of the owner or owners of
said lots or pieces of ground, a special tax at the rate of -'� 0.008662
per square foot for each and every square foot of ground so situated as
aforesaid.
6ECTIO . 2. Each of the lots or Nieces of r;round so mentioned
and referred to in Section I of this Crdinance, against which a.
special tax bill is ;specified in Section I of this Crdinance is
levied and assessed and the same is hereby levied and assessed and
the description of said lots or pieces of r*round and the name of the
owner or owners thereof in which the tax is levied and assessed and
the cost per square foot and the amount assessed each lot or piece of
ground in said Sewer District No . 52 situated in the name of the
o:vner or owners thereof, the number of square feet owned by each
property holder in the lots or ,pieces of ground owned by each ovrner
in said Sewer District No . 52 is as follows:
SECTION. 3. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to proceed
at once to make out special tax bills under the seal of the City of
.Teffc.rson, Lissouri, cf the aforesaid amounts against said lots or
pieces of land in the aforesaid hewer 1istrict No. 52 situated,
mentioned and described in the heretofore mentioned section of this
Ordinance in the name of the owner or owners thereof, which said
special and certified tax bills shall be signed by the Mayor and
attested and recorded by the City Clerk and delivered to Louis
Brunner the r.,ontrnctor of the work of construction of the aforesaid
sewers as provided and required by the Charter of the amity of
Jefferson and the Ordinances authorizing and ordering the construction
of sewers in said Sewer District No . 5.', heretofore passed and
approved by the Council
6ECTICN. 4 . This Crd.inance shall take effect and. be in force
from and after its passage and approval.
