SECTION. I . It appearing; from the written report of the
City Engineer, the Officer in charge of the work: of construction and
completing sewers, in Sewer District No. 53, in the City of Jeffer-
son, Missouri, heretofore submitted by said officer to the City
Council and approved and filed by it on this 8th day of September,
1931, at a regular meeting of the City Council held on this date, that
the total cost of construction and completing of said sewer as con-
structed, amounts to the sum of $455.20 and it further appearing
that said report of said officer did apportion said cost againaat
the several lots or pieces of ground in said Sewer District No . 53
exclusive of streets in proportion to the area of the whole of said
District No. 53 exclusive of the public highways, it is further
appearing that the total number of square feet contp ined in the ag-
gregate number of lots and pieces of ground situated in the said
Sewer District Izo . 53, exclusive of the public highways therein
amounts to 60,128.00 square feet. And it further appearing from the
said report that on proper apportionment of said costs such lots or
pieces of ground in said , Sewer District No . 53 so situated, each
square foot of (round contained in said lots or pieces of round in
said Sewer district * No . 53 is cha.rgeti.ble i ith the sum of 91 0.007571
per square, foot
Now, therefore, for the purpose of paying for the work of
construction and completion of severs in said Sewer 'istrict No . 53
together with all necessary laterals, inlets , catch basins, manholes
and oth:-.r necessary appurtenances thereto appertaining, there is hereby
levied and assessed, against the several and hereinafter described
lots or pdeces of ground within the bounds of said -e•;•irr District
No. 53, situated in the name of the respective name of the owner or
owners of said lots or pieces of ground, a special tax at the rate
of 0 0.007571 per square foot for each and every square foot of
ground so situated as aforesaid.
:SECTION. 2. Each of the lots or pieces of ground so mentioned
and referred to in Section I of this Urdinance, af;ai nst which a
special tax bill is specified in Uection I of this Ordinance is
levied and assessed and the same is hereby levied and assessed and
the description of said lots or pieces of ground and the name of the
owner or owners thereof in which the tax is levied and assessed and
the cost per square foot and the amount assessed each lot or piece
of Pround • in said Sewer 1iistrict No . 53 situated in the name of the
owner or owners thereof, the number of square feet owned by each
property holder in the lots or x)ieces of t:rouna ovinf.d by each owner
in said Sewer District No. 53 is as follotivs:
SECTICN. 3 . The City Clerk is hereby instructed to proceed
at once to make out special tax bills under the Seal of the City of
Jefferson, L'ifssouri , of the aforesaid amounts against said lots or
