four feet in width, 2.5 feet back from ba.ck of curb, on the South
side of Dunklin Strert, between Broadway and b:ulberry Streets, and
abuttin ; 145 feet on Dunklin Street owned by Lyrtle E, Edrionds ,
being a part of Inlots ,PP9 & 890. Sidewalk to start at the Nest curb
line on 1ulberry Street, be constructed and built within thirty days
from the service of a copy of this Crd.ina.nce on the owner of the
property hereinabove described.
BECT1CN. 2 . ',Vithin two days after the passage of this
Ordinance, the Gity Clerk shall place in the hands of the City
Yarshal a certified copy of this Ordinance, and said Qity larshal
serve or cause to be Nerved a copy of this Ordinance on the owner or
owners above mentioned , by delivering a copy hereof to said owner
or owners or by leaving* it with some member of his family over the
age of 15 years, making his return on another copy of said Ordinance
which copy shall be filed in the office of the City Clerk.
SECTION. 3 . In the event the oivn(,r or owners above named
fail to construct said sidewalk as above directed, then the City of
Jefferson, under the authority given it by its charter and Ordinances
will construct said sidewalk and will issue a, special tax bill
against said property for the cost of the construction of said side-
walk, which said special tax bill will be a. lien af*ainst the property
above described.
SECTICIT. 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.
