ORDINANCE NO. 1998 -16
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING §8 -30
OF GREENCASTLE CITY CODE
SCHEDULE OF ON- STREET RESERVED
HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACES
WHEREAS, Depauw University has requested handicapped parking spaces near the
renovated Memorial Student Union Building; and
WHEREAS, there has been a request for additional handicapped parking on Franklin St.,
near the downtown.
BE IT ORDAINED AND ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of
Greencastle, Indiana, that §8 -30 of the Greencastle City Code is hereby amended to read as
follows:
§8 -30. Schedule of On- Street Reserved Handicapped Parking Spaces

Street Location of Reserved Parking Spaces
Indiana Street Two (2) spaces located on the West side of the Street immediately South of the crosswalk
between Franklin Street and Washington Street.

Locust Street Two (2) spaces located 171 feet and 373 feet North of Hanna Street on the West side of
Locust Street, and One (1) space immediately adjacent to Simpson Street,.
Madison Street Entire East side of Madison Street between West Washington and Franklin Street.
Franklin Street One (1) space located the most westerly on the South side of Franklin Street between
Market and Madison Streets, and One (1) space located on the North Side of Franklin
Street immediately to the West of the intersection of Franklin Street and Vine Street.
Spring Street One (1) space on the East side of Spring Street s designated and marked by the Church.
Washington Street One (1) space located 76 feet West of College Street on the North side of Washington
Street.
Walnut Street One (1) space located 25 feet East of Indiana Street on the North Side of Walnut Street.
City Lot Two (2) spaces in the City Parking Lot, located at the comer of Walnut and Vine Streets,
Olive Street One (1) space located 300 feet West of College Street on the North side of Olive Street.
College Street One (1) space located 23 feet North of Larabee Street on the West side of College Street
Vine Street One (1) space located nearest the Northwest corner of the Alamo Building, on the East
side of Vine Street, North of Poplar Street. (In front of former alley).

Howard Street Two (2) spaces located nearest to the intersection of Howard Street and Crown Street, on
the South side of Howard Street, West of Crown Street.
THIS ORDINANCE was passed and adopted this day of 998.

Memorial Student Union Building on the campus of Depuaw University, and one (1) space
located on Franklin St. immediately West of the intersection of Franklin St. and Vine St.
