NO. 3490. AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE RESULT OF SPECIAL ELECTION HELD
OX TUESDAY, MAY 31st, 19329 FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE
QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON THE PROPOSITION OF FUNDING
CERTAIN JUDGMENT INDEBTEDNESS OF SAID CITY.
MOREAS, by Ordinance No. 3485, approved May 6, 1932, it was
ordered and directed that a special election be held in the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified
voters of said City a proposition to issue bonds of said City in the
amount of Seventy-one Thousand Eighty-nine Dollars and seventy-two
Cents ($71,089.72) , for the purpose of funding certain indebtedness of
the said City, evidenced by judgments against said City, as in said
Ordinance fully set forth, and
. WHEREAS, said election was held on the 31st day of play, 1932,
due notice thereof having been given as required by statute, and in
accordance with said Ordinance No. 34859 hereinbefore mentioned, and
%15MREAS, the said Council of the City of Jefferson on this
6th day of June, 1932, in regular meeting assembled, has canvassed said
election returns, and has found that there were cast at said election
985 votes in favor of funding said judgment indebtedness and 71 votes
against funding said judgment indebtedness.
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON AS FOLLOWSs
That the Council hereby declares that it has canvassed the votes
cast at the special judgment funding bond election held on May 31st,
1932; that there were One Thousand and Fifty Six votes (1056) 9 cast on
the proposition then submitted, of which votes Nine Hundred and Eighty
. Five (985) were "FOR FUNDING JUDGMENT INDEBTEDNESS - YES" , and Seventy
One ( 71) were " FOR FUNDING JUDGMENT INDEBTEDNESS -NO", and it appears

more than two-thirds of the votes cast at said election on said
proposition were for the funding of said judgment indebtedness, and
that the proposition received the assent of more than two-thirds of
the qualified votes of the said City voting on the said proposition.
