Brixey - !JASON Commissioner Michael Nott called the March 21, 2013 regular meeting of the Board of Police Commissioners to order at 6:00 p.m. In addition to Commissioner Nott, in attendance were Commissioners Greg Chapman and Raymond Brixey, Commander Kevin Greco and Kathy Glavac. The minutes of the February 21, 2013 meeting were read. There being one typo clarification on page 2, the word "Fired" should be "Fire Dept." Commissioner Nott moved the minutes be approved as corrected. Commissioner Brixey seconded the motion. The minutes of the March 2, 2013 special meeting were read. There being no corrections or clarifications, Commissioner Nott moved the minutes be approved as read. Commissioner Brixey seconded the motion. All in favor. The minutes were approved. Correspondence — None. Old Business — 10 Solutions and Stanard & Associates gave presentations on testing services for. Sergeant promotional exams and entry level police officer exams. Representatives of both firms presented their services to the Board. They gave detailed information on the process they have in place for both testing processes, from advertising, notifying candidates, administering the exams, scoring, assessment centers and preparing eligibility lists. Both companies also presented the board with proposals for their services. The Board took some time to review the documentation that was left for them to consider. A discussion regarding the presentations was held. The Board determined that the presentation and proposal presented by I0 Solutions was best suited for the Village of Plainfield. Commissioner Ray Brixey moved that the Board award I0 Solutions the testing contracts for both Sergeant promotional exams and entry level officer that will be forthcoming in the near future pending receipt of a formal contract. Commissioner Chapman seconded the motion. All in favor. The Commissioners will contact both testing companies to inform them of their decision. Commander Greco informed the Commission about the award, banquet to be held on April 25, 2013 for officer recognition. After careful consideration and discussion, the top two candidates will be contacted for further consideration and testing. This matter was then tabled until the April 18, 2013 meeting. Testing Dates - This matter was tabled pending receipt of final contracts from the testing company. There being no further business or discussion, Commissioner Nott moved the meeting be adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
