municipal water plant; and
WHEREAS, said Committee so appointed has determined that it will
be necessary to employ competent engineers to make a valuation of
the present system now owned by the Capital City Water Company, and
also to make an estimate of the costs of building a complate new
system to serve the territory now served by the Capital City Water
' Company; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide funds to pay such engineers
as.. may be employed;
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFE -:SON, AS
FOLLOWS:
That the said Municipal Ownership Uommittee heretofore
appointed is hereby authorized to employ competent engineers to
make a preliminary valuation of the water works, plant,mains, etc. ,
of the Capital Gity Water Company, and to make an estimate of the
probable costs of constructing a new water works plant and system
of sufficient capacity to serve the requirements of the City of
Jefferson and its citizens.
There is hereby appropriated out of the General Revenue Fund
SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS ($600 .00) or so much thereof as may be necessary
which money shall be used to pay the fees of such engineers as may
be employed to conduct the work hereinbefore mentioned.

NO. 3507. AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EMPLOY14ENT OF BURNS AND
.'; MCDONNELL TO MARE PRELIMINARY ESTIKATE OF PRESENT VALUE OF THE
CAPITAL CITY WATER COMPANY, ANDESTINATE THE COSTS OF CONSTRUCTING
A NEW IVA.77R WORKS AND PLANT, SUFFICIENT TO SERVE THE CITIZENS OF
JEFFERSON CITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY- THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS
FOLLOWS:
That BURNS AND McDONNELL be and the same is hereby employed
to make a preliminary valuation on the Capital City Water Company
plant and system, and to make an estimate of the costs of the build
; k ing of a new water works plant and system, including mains and all
w, other necessary equipment in the City of Jefferson, in accordance
with the contract attached to this Ordinance as Exhibit "A" , and
, .; .'. heretofore executed by said BURNS AND MCDONNELL.
Immediately y after the passage and approval of this Ordinance
the Mayor of Jefferson City, Missouri, is directed to execute the
attached contract, on behalf of the City of Jefferson.
This Ordinance shall be in -full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval.
