the assessment bok of the city of Jefferson, Mo. for the year
1933, and on all merchants and manufacturers statements, made
as provided by law.
FIRSTt For the purpose of paying all curretit expenses of the
e it of J eff erson, Mo. for the fiscal year , the sum of sixty
cents on the one hundred dollars valuation.
� SECONDs For the purpose of .paying the interest on the out-
standing bonds of the city of ;efferson, Mo. and for the purpose
of creating a sinking fund to retire the outstanding bonds of the
• city of Jefferson, Mo. , the sum of twenty five cents on the one
hundred dollar valuations
THIRDS For the purpose of estq.blishing and maintaining a free
pdblic 11br4W in the city of Jeffer•son,Mo. , the sum of five cents
on the one hundred dollar valuation.
Section, 2. It shall be the duty of the City clerk to cause to
be extended In the appropriate columns, opposite each item of the
taxable property on the assessment book, as returned by the
assessor of the city of Jefferson, Mo. and corrected by the county
boardof equalization, the amount of taxes required to be paid by
each person- assessed, as provided by sectionl of thib ordinance.
Section 3, All ordinan c•-s or parts of ordinances in conflict
with this ordinance are hereby repealede
Section 49 This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and approval.

#3360 AN ORDINANC TO REGULATE THE OPERATION OF VEHICLES AT
CERTAIN STREET INTERSECTIONS, PROVIDING FOR LEFT HAND TURNS,
PROVIDING FOR METHOD OF CROSSING CERTAIN STREET INTERSECTIONS,
AND FIXING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, Electric traffic signals have been established at the
intersection of
High Street and Monroe Street

Whereas, Said electric traffic signals at the intersections
aforementioned are gquiped with a set of three (3) lightly, one
green light, indicating that traffic shall proceed across the
said intersection, one red light, indicating that traffic shall
stop and not proceed into the intersection, and one white light
indicating that a left turn may be made; and
WHEREAS, the city council 6f the city of Jefferson believes it
necessary and convenient that left hand turns be permitted at the
intersections aforesaid;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY 110 COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON AS FOLLOWSs
It shall be unlawful for thw operator of any vehicle to drive
said vehicle into the intersection of any of than streets above;
mebtioned, unless the electric traffic signal shall be on the
green light and indicate "go" Provided, however, that there is
hereby established at each of the street intersections above
