AND TO ENACT IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS S30TION
743, RELATING TO THE SAME SUBJECT MAT17R,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OP THE CITY O3P JEFFERSON AS FOLLOWS
S ction 1. That section 743 Chapter 419 Revised ordinances of the
city of Jefferson 1925, as amended , and as the same appears on
page 29 of the supplemental ordinsn ces of 1925, and as the same was
amended by oddinance no. 3493 passed by the Council June 6th. 1932
and approved June Tv 19329 belb and the same is hereby repealed and
a new section relating to the same subject matter, enacted in lieu
thereof, to beb known as section 743, and to read as follows;
Sectica 743. All revenue derived fron the licensing of all motor
and other vehicles within the city of jefferson, shall be placed
in a fund to be Jknown as the "Vehicle Fund" which money shall be
used and expended only for the maintenance, cleaning and repai2
of the streets and always within the corporate limits of the city
of, Jefferson.
All revenue derived from the one cent levy per
gallon on all gasoline sold within the ootporate limits of the City
of Jefferson, shall be placed in a fund to be known as the "Traffic
and Vehicle Fund" and all moneys placed in said fund shall -be used
and expended only for the following purposei v-c
(a) For the maintenance . ,cleaning and repair of
the streets and alleys within thecorporate limits of the City of
Jefferson;
(b) For the purpose of purchasing, constructing,'
operating and maintaining traffic signal devices, strip-and-go signs
and boulevard stop signs, and any other signs and devices, used in
directing and controlling traffic on the dtreets and alleys within
the corporate limits of the city of Jefferson.
(e) For the purpose of paying the salaries of
the traffic policemen, and for the purpose of purchasing, operating
andmaintaining motorcycles used by the traffic policemen.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after Its passage and approval.

IIR553 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 15 OF CHAPTER 26 BY ADDING A
W SECTION THERETO, TO BE KNOWN AS SECTION361-Ap RELATING TO CITY
MOTOR VEHICLE LICENSE TAGS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON AS FOLLOWS,
Sectionl. That artiolwe 15 of chapter 26 of the revised ordinances
of the city of Jeffersoh, 1925 be and the same ids hereby amended
by adding a new section, to be known as section 361-A and to read
as follows;
Section 361-A On and after July let. 1933 it shall be the duty of
the city collector to furnish, in lieg of the license plates reforred
to in this article, to persons applying for license tags, a paper.
' :. registration certificate so prepared that when moistened, it will
adhere to glass, and every b person applying for and reveiving a
city motor vehicle registration license in the city of Jefferson
shallbe furnished such license certificate, which shall be placed
'. on the inside of the windsMeld of the automobile in the lower
right hand corner thereof acid as near the molding as possible;
