# 3558. AN ORDINANCE TO APPRIPRIATE MONEY 11OR THE MONTE OF
MAY, 1933,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,AS FOLLOWS.
Section 1. There is hereby appropriated out of any money in the
city treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the purpose of
paying accounts and claims, the follceinge
Revenue Fund, the sum of §3897080
Traffic and Vehicle Fund , the sum of 82 9.40
Section 29 This ordinance shall take effect and be in force gnda
and after its passage and approval.

#3567. AN ORDINANCE TO REQUIRE PUBLIC TAXICAB COMPANIES AND
COM' ON CARRIERS OF PASSENGERS BY MOTOR VEHICLE FOR HIRE TO FILE
LIABILITY INSURANCE POLICY OR BOND WITH THE CITY CIMRR, AND
PROVIDING PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS OEDINANCE.

Sectionl. On and of ter the passage and approval of this
ordinance, no license to engage in the public taxicab business
In the city of Jefferson shall be issued to the applicant therefor
by the collector of the city of Jefferson until and after such
applicant has filed with the City Clerk, and the same has been
approved by the Wayorp a liability insurance policy or bond, in
some insurance company or association, or tther insurers
authorized to yransact business in the State of Missouri, which
liability insurance shall bind the obligers thereunder to make
compensation for damage to or destruetionof any property of one o.:-
or more ersons to a maximum amount of one thousand and no/100
dollars ($1,000) , by reason of the applicants legal liability for
damage in consequence of any one accident resulting fron the negligent
operation or use of any public taxicab used in such public taxicab
business, and which liabilityinsuranee shall bindthe obligers
thereunder to make compensation for bodily injuries, including death
at any time resulting therefrom, to one person to a 'maximumamount
of five thousand and no/100 dollars (52000) , by reason of the a
applicants legal liability for damages in consequence of any one acei
accident resulting from the negligent operation or use of any public
taxicab used in such public taxi cab business, and subject to that
limit of a maximum amount of five thousand and no/l00 dollars

obligers thereunder to make compensation for bodily injuries,
including death at any time resulting therefrom, to more than one
person, to a total maximum amount of ten thousand dollars($100000)
by reason of the applicants legal liability for damages in consequence
of any one accident resulting from the negligent operation or use
of any public taxi cab used in such public taxi cab business.

Section 2. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation
to engage in the operation of taxicabs for hire in the city of
Jefferson without having filed with the city clerk an insurance
policy orbond, hereinbefore mentioned, which insurance policy or
bond has been approved by the Mayor of the city of Jefferson.
Section S. Any person, firm or corporation now engaged in the
business of operating taxicabs in the city of Jefferson, for which
licenses have heretobefore beenn issued, shall have ten (10) days
from the effective to of this ordinance to file with the city clerk
the liability ins��hor bond hereinbefore mentioned.
Section 4. Any person,firm or corporation violating the terms of
this ordinance, shall upon conviction be deemed guilty of a mis.
demeanor and shall be punished by a fine of nit less than three
