An ordinance providing for the construction of a sidewalk of cement concri
material four feet in with two feet back from back of curb on the east sii
of Washington Street between Atchindon street and Ashley Streets and abtk
abutting 50 feet in front of inlot 973 owned by PETE RENN

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWSs
;{ Section I. That ,-a sidewalk of cement concrete material, four feet in
width, two feet back from face of curb, on the east side of Washington 21*
Street between Atchinson Street and Ashley Streets, and abutting 50 feet
in front of Inlot 973 owned by PETE RENN.
be constructed and built within thirty days from the service of a copy of
this ordinance on the owner of the
property hereinabove described.
Section 2. Within two days after the passage of this ordinance, the
�s. City Clerk shall place in the hands of the City Marshall a certified copy
,1. of this ordinance, and City Marshall shall serve or cause to be served
.?; a copy of this ordinance on the owner or owners above mentioned, by
delivering a copy hereof to said owner or owners or by leaving it with wan
some member of his family over the age of I5 years making his return an
another copy of said ordinance, which copy shall be filed in the office
of the City Clerk.
SECTION 3. In the event the owner or owners above named fail to construt
s::• said sidewalk as above directed, then the City of Jeffers6n, under the ps
power and authority given it by its charter and ordinances, will construct
said sidewalk and will issue a special tax bill against said

the cost of the construction of said sidewalk, which said special tax bill
will be a lien against the property above described.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage and approval.
