# 35619 AN ORDINANCE repealing Section 564 of Article VII an
of Chapter 30,• relating to misdemeanors, and enacting in liey
+� thereof a new section.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Jefferson, as
follows$
That Section 564 of Article VII and Chapter 30 of the Revised
Ordinances of the City of Jefferson, 1925, be and the same is hereby sXXx
repealed, and a new Section enacted in lieu thereof,to be known as Section
564 of the Revised Ordinance of the City of Jefferson, and to read as 22&k
follows; •
Section 564. Cock Fightingpliorse Racing, Billards and other games
on Sunday.
Every person who shall engage in cock fighting, or •hor se racing, or
who shall play at billards or ten pins, or pool, or at any other game of
amusement in any puplic place within this city, or any person or persons
who- shall tolerate, suffer or permit any cock fighting, horse racing or
the pPlaying at billards, pool. ten pins, or any other game of amusement,
in or on his or their premises, or premises under his or their control xi.x
within this City, on the first day of the week, comonly called Sunday,
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor; Provided, however, that the
game called ten pins may be played on the first day of the week, commonly
called Sunday, between the hours of I:00 o°clock and 000 o'clock in the
afternoon.

An Ordinance levying and assessing a special tax bill
against the lots or tracts of land fronting or abutting on the
roadways of Hoefer lane, River Lane, Pierce Street, Hough Street;
Beginning at the intersection of Hoefer Lane and High Stree; .
thence northerly along the roadway of Hoefer Lane 'to River lane.
beginning at the intersection of River Lane and Hoefer Lane;
therice .easterly along the roadway of River Lane to Pierce Street,
beginning at the intersection of Pierce Street and River. Lane;
thence southerly along the roadway of Pierce Street to Hou&i Street;
beginning, at the intersection of Hough Street and River Lane;
thence easterly along the roadway of Hough Street to Grant Street;
all in District No . 4 of the City of Jefferson, MUssouri, for the
improvement of the said roadways of said streets aforesaid by
repairing, surfacing and resurfacing.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIM CITY OF JEFPERS OBI
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. There is hereby levied and assessed
at the rate and cost price per front foot as specified in Section
2 of this Ordinance, against the aggrete lots or tracts of land
fronting or abutting on the roadways Hoefer 14ne, River Lane, Pierce
Street, Hough Street, beginning at the intersection of Hoefer Lane,
and High Street; thence northerly along the roadway of Hoefer Lane
to River Lane, beginning at the intersection of River Lane and
Hoefer Lane, thence easterly along the roadway of River Lane to
Pierce Street, beginning at the intersection of Pierce Street and
River Lane; thence southerly alon the roadway of Pierce Street
to Hough Street, beginning at the intersection of Hough Street and
River Lane; thence easterly along the roadway of Hough Street to
Grant Street, all in District No . 4 of the City of Jefferson, liissouri,
for the improvement of *hid roadway of said streets aforesaid by
repairing, surfacing and resurfacing, the sum of X3408.28 as the
total costs of the improvements of said streets and the number of
front feet fronting or abutting said roadways of said streets
aforesaid, amounts to 11360.95 running feet; the cost price per
running foot is $0.30
