IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON AS FOLLOWS&
SECTION I. That the Mayor of the City of Jefferson is hereby
authorized and directed to execute said pipe line license for and
on behalf of the City of Jefferson, and the City Clerk is hereby
instruoted and directed to attest said pipe line license, and to
furnish certified copy of this ordinance to the above named trustees
of the Missouri Pacific Railroad Company.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval.

TO MAKE AN APPLICATION TO THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY ADMINISTRATION
OF PUBLIC WORKS FOR GRANT OF FUNDS TO BE USED IN THE CONSTRUCTION
OF SEWER
DISTRICT NUMBER FIFTY.
AREAS the Council of the City of Jefferson Missouri, on
the 2nd. day of October, 2933, declare the creation and construction
of Sewer District Number Fifty in the City of Jefferson is
Necessary for the health, and safety and welfare of the citizens.

its boundaries by the passage of Ordinance Number 35 74; and ,
WHEREAS, it is the understanding of the Council of the City
of Jefferson that the Federal Goverment, through the Federal
Emergency Administration of Public Works, may make a grant of
thirty (30g0 percent of the cost of labor and material to be used
in the construction of said Sewer District Number Fifty.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWSt
SECTION I. That the Mayor of the City of Jefferson is hereby
instructed and directed to apply to the above mentioned Federal
Emergency Administration of Publick Works for grant to the amount
of thirty (30,,Ilo) per cent of the cost of labor and material to be
used in the construction of Sewer District Number Fifty, and the
said Mayor of the City of Jefferson is hereby instructed to furnish
with said application, all necessary copies of ordinances, plans,
estimates, and all other necessary data that may be required by the
said Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works.
SECTION 2. The Council of the City of Jefferson pledges itself
that should the grant herein before mentioned be made, that said
amount Nvill 'be used by the City of Jefferson to defray the cost of
labor and material used in the construction of Sewer District
Number Fifty, and that in letting the contract for said sewer
district, which will be done as soon as the application mentioned
herein is acted upon, the City of Jefferson, through its City Council
pledges itself to meet the requirements of the- Federal Goverment relay
