Ells City Clerk of the City of Jefferson, do hereby certify that the fore going ordinance is a correct copy of ordinance Number 3582 passed by the City Council on the 18th day October, 1933. I further certify that Means Ray, Mayor of Jefferson City, is absent from the city on this date, and is unable to sign this ordi- nance. I further certify that Carl Walz, President Protem of the City Council is the duly qualified and acting Mayor of the City of Jefferson, and is fully authorized by the Ordinances of the City of Sefferson to execute the foregoing ordinance. Ells City Clerk #3583 ANORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE BUILDING INSPECTOR OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON TO CONSTRUCT NEW CONCRETE FLOOR AND MAKE OTHER REPAIRS IN THE BASEMENT OF THE CITY HALL, AND TO APPROPRIATE NOT TO EXCEED NINE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS IN PAYMEN2 FOR SAID WORK. BE IT ORDAIN-RD BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON AS FDLLOWSs The Building Inspector is hereby autherized and directed to proceed with the work of placing a cement floor in the basement of the City Hall, as per plans and specifications heretofore prepared by said Building Inspector. He is further authorized and directed to proceed to remove the old basement floor and do the necessary excavating, to plaster the sidewalls and ceilings, do the necessary painting and carpenter work. plumbing and electrical wiring, in order to place the basement of said City Hall in proper condition. It is furtbrer ordained by the Council that in accordance withpplans and specifications heretofore presented by the Building Inspector, the cost of said work shall in no event exceed the sum of nine hundred and fifty 0950.00) dollars, which amount is hereby appropriated and shall be paid out on warrents to such persons as shall be employed by the Building Inspector, on a weekly payroll for h labor. Upon presentatAft to the City Clerk of the weekly report of Building Inspector, stating to which money is due fcr labor on this project, and the amount thereof, the clerk shall draw warrents and the Trea- surer shall pay said warrents. Be it further ordained that all accounts for material, before being presented to the Council for payment, shall in addition to approval of" the Committee on accounts, be approved by the Building Inspector of the City of Jefferson. Be it further ordained that the rate to be paid for such common labor as it is necessary to be employed shall be at the rate of forty—five ( G45) cents per hour, and for skilled or semi skilled labor the Building Inspector is hereby directed to pay the market price for that labor.
