and states to the Council that the Missouri Power and Light Company
in consideration of the passage and approval of this ordinance,
hereby accepts the prdinance and agrees to perform the services set
out therein and abide by the provisions thereof.

3599 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING GRANT AGRI=NT ON SEWER DISTRICT
NUMBER FIFTY BETWEEN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, COLE COUNTY, MISSOURI
PARTY OF THE FIRST PART, AND THE UNITED STATES OF AIMRICA, PARTY
OF THE SECOND PART, AND AUTHORISING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY
OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI.
WHEREAS, heretofore the City of Jefferson, Missouri has
applied to the Federal Emergency Administration of Pblic Works for
a grant of thirty per cent. (30%4 of the cost of labor and materials
to be used in the construction of sewer in sewer district number
fifty in the City of Jefferson, and.
} WHEREAS, the said Federal Emergency Administration of Public
Works has advised said City of Jefferson that it has approved said
application in a sum not to exceed Nine Thousand Dollars# (09,000.00)
and,
Whereas, Said Federal Emergency Administration of Public
Works has submitted to daid City of Jefferson, a certain grant
agreement relating to the grant applied for in aid of sewer dist-
rict number fifty,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City of Jefferson hereby adoptsand approves
said grant between the City of Jefferson,C&le County,Missouri,
and the United States of America, insofar as it relates
to grant not to exceed Nine Thousand dollars (09,000.00) to be
used in paying thirty per cent. (30/) of the cost of labor and
<< materials used in the construction of sewer district number fifty.
Said Council further adopts all other provisions of said grant
agreement and pledges itself to meet all the requirements of the
United States of America, the second party to said contract, in
;T carrying out the terms of said contract,
SECTION 2. The Mayor of Jefferson City is hereby specificall y
r instructed and directed to execute said grant agreement in triplicate
