to the regulation, control, manafacture, brewing, sale and
possession of intoxicating liquor, defining intoxicating liquor
fixing licenses to be paid by persons engaged in the manafaeture,
brewing or sale of intoxicating liquor; repealing all ordinances
in conflict with this ordinance, and fixing a penalty', be an4
the same is hereby amended by striking out all of said Section
18 of said Ordinance, and enacting in lieu thereof, a new
section to be known as Section Eighteen and to reed as follows;
Section 18. No license authorising the sale of intoxicating
liquor at retail for consumption on the premises where sold
shall be Issued unless the person, co-paktnership or corporation
applying for said license shall have been a resident, taxpaying
citizen of the City of Jefferson, misecuri, for twelve months
Immediately preeeeding the date of said application.

3622 An ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH BOULAVARD STOP
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON AS
FOLLOWS t
SECTIONS 1 Every driver of a vehicle shall bring said vehicle
to a full stop on Miller Street, . immediately before entering
the intersection of Miller Street with Monroe Streets

Section 2. Every driver of a vehicle shall bring said vehicle
; ; to a' full stop ,an Miller Street, Immediately before entering
the intersection of Miller Street with Madison Street.
Section 3. Any person violating the term of this Ordinance
shall upon conviction be punished by a fine of not less that
three dollars or more than one hundred dollars.

the. south side of He Carty street and rennin westerly from
Locust Street, one hundred-thirty-seven' (13�g feet. and three 'i
inches, (3) and more particulary described as;
Beginning at the nort�rly corner of Outlet No-39. said
northeasterly corner 6r Outlet No. 39 being the aouthwesterly
corner of Locust and Me Carty Streets; thence westerly along
and with the southerly line of Me Carty Street and the northerly
line of Outlet No. 39, a distance of hne hundred thirty-seven

Whereas. it has been shown to the City Council of the City
of TeffersoVp Missouri, that the Federal Goverment is the owner
of that portion of Outlot No. 39 in the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, as shown by the on#anal plat thereof, which said
Outlot abutte and adjoins said Me Carty Street, have improved
and occupied,and are now using and' occuping said abutting an&
adjacent land, so .that said portion of Me Carty Street has
ceased to be of any use or benifit as a public thoroughfare,
and that itmwrould not inconvenience the public or the citizens
of the City of Jefferson, to discontinue and vacate that
portion of Me Carty Street as a public 'thoroughfare, therefore; '
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEPFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWSS
Section 1. it is hereby declared that the City Council
of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, deems it necessary and
expedientto vacate and discontinue a portion of Me Carty Street
lying along the south side of Me Carty Street and running
westerly from Locust Street one hundred thirty-seven (137)
feet and three (3) inches being a' strip two (2) feet in width
and more particulary described as;
Beginning at the northeasterly corner of Outlet No 39# said
northeasterly corner of Outlot No. 39 being the southwesterly
eorner .of Locust and Me Carty Streets; thence westerly along
and with the southerly, lind of Me Carty Street and the norther
line of Outlot No. 39 a distance of one hundred thirty-seven
(137), feet and three 13) inches thence northerly parallel with
I►ocrost Street, two (2) feet; thence easterly parallel with the
southerly line of Me Carty Street and the northerly line of
Outlot. No. 399 a distance of one hundred thirty-seven (137)
feet and three (3) inches to a point that would be on the
extended line of Outlot No. 39, and the westerly line of Locust
street; thence southerly two (2.) feet to the point of beginning
the Federal Goverment, owner of the property abutting on and
adjacent to said portion of said street, having petitioned said
City Council to vacate and discontinue that portion of Mc Carty
street as a part of the public thoroughfare of said City; 'said. "
street is hereby forever vacated and dieontinued as a Public
thoroughfare and the power and right of reversion of said .portion
of said street to the adjacent and abutting owner, as is provided
by the Statues of the State of Missouri, is hereby fully
confirmed, ratified and approved and the Mayor of this City is
hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver all proper
writings, or instruments for, on behalf or in the name of the
. . City to fully and completely establish and gurantee to the
adjacent and abutting property owner its legal rights in
connection with the above vacation of said portion of said street.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
forep from and after its passage and approval.
