WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 3588, approved October 31, 1933.9 it was ordered and directed that a special election should be held in the City of effer$on City, Missouri, on tuesday November 28, 1.933 for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of said City four seperate propositions to incur indebtedness, said propositions one to four, inclusive, being as followsl ` PROPOSITION NO. L. ? To authorize the City df Jefferson City, Missouri, to incur an indebtedness in the amount . of Sixty-five Thousand Dollars$ 65,000:00) for the purpose of establishing the channel of Wares Creek from its intersection with Monroe street in an Easterly direction for a distance of 1800 feet, in said City, by walling and covering same, and to evidence such indebtedness by the issuance of bonds of said City in the said amount for said purpose. PROPOSITION NO. S. To authorize the City of Jefferson City, Missouri, to incur ah indebtedness in the amount of Twenty Thousand Dollars 20.000.00) for the purpose of making improvements to the City Hall. in said City, and to evidence such indebtedness by the issuance of bonds of said City in said amount for said purpose. PROPOSITION NO. 34, To authorize the City of Jefferson City, Missouri, to incur an indebtedness in the amount of Thirty- five Thousand Dollaksp ( $ 35.000°00) for the purpose of erecting a fire station in sa jd. City, and to evidence such indebtedness by the issuance of bonds of said City in said amount for said purpose. PROPOSITION NO. 40 To authorize the City of Jefferson City, Missouri, to incur an indebtedness in the amount of Three Thousand Dollars $ 3,000.00) for the purpose of improving the roadway of Bast Capital .Avenue in said City from the west line of Madison Street to the east line of the State Capital,Grounds, by- widening and paving the same, and to evidence such indebtedness by the , issuance of bonds of said amount for said purpose. VWREASp. by- Ordinance No. 3588, above mentioned, polling places for said elec*ion were betdblished and fixed for each of the sixteen precincts in the City of Jefferson City, and, WHEREA59 by Ordinance No. 3593, approved November 209 1933, six Judges of election were appointed and named by the Council of the City- of Jefferson City, to serve as judges of election in each of the precincts designated by the Council in Ordinance Not 35889 afcre- said and, WHERRAS, a special registration of voters of said City was duly and regulary had and held prior to said special election and as provided and required by law, and, WHEREAS, the said special election was duly and regularly hold on the 28, day of November, 1933* as directed in said Ordinance No. 3588, and in accordance with the provisions of the statutes of the State of Missouri in such cases made and provided, and. MOREAS, the said special election was held in each of the precincts designated by said Ordinance No, 35889 at-the various places in each of the said wards of the City as set out In the said Ordinancee the polls being kept open in eaah of said precincts and at each of i 42 i said polling places Arom'6 o'clock in the forenoon until 7 o 'clock in the afternoon of said day, and, WHEREAS, the sa id special elec*ion was conducted by the judges and clerks of election, duly and regularly appointed and qualified according to law, and the returns made and the results of said s election declared in the- same manner as for an election for city of fic era, and. WHRAEAS p, the City Clerk did, in compliance with the direction of said. o.rdinance, give notice of the said election by publication in the Jefferson City Poat Tribune, a daily newspaper published in the City. of Jefferson, once a week for four consecutive creeks, by four (4) insertions in said publication, to-snit; on the let, 8th, 15th, ' and 22nd days:fo ...November, 1933s as evidenced by the publisher's affidavit anC-proof of publication being on file in the office of the City Clerk, and said notice so published and each insertion thereof being in the form of notice set out in said Ordinance No. 35885 and. VIEREAS, the said Jefferson City Post- Tribune, prior to the First publication of the aforesaid notice, had been published continuously in said City for a p eriod of at least one year, and said news- paper had complied with the provisions of the Act of the General Assembly of Missouri approved May •14, 19312 being Section 13.7755 Revised- Statues of Missouri for 1928, and. WHEREAS, the ballots used at the said election by all of the voters, who voted therein were in the form required by law and as ' directed in the said Ordinance No. 3588, and, WHEREAS, the City Clerk did provide all the necessary poll books, tally sheets, .ballots and other supplies necessary for the conduct of the said election, and did cause the same to be 'delivered to the judgea of said election, and, �YHEREAS, it further appears that the said election was duly and regularly held according to law and according to the statues in such cases made and provided, on the 28th, dajr of November, 1933s. at each of the polling places in the voting precincts, reeptkatirely, theretofore duly and regularly established and as ordered and d directed in said Ordinance No. 35889 and pp WHEREAS, the ballots cast and the returns thereof have been duly certified to this Council, as required by law,and the said return were, on the 4th. day of December, 1933s, duly canvaseed' and the results thereof declared by Ordinance Nov, 3603, approved December 49 19337, and, WHEREAS; it appears fton the canvass of,said votes cast at the said. special election held on the 28th. day of Novembers 19339 thatt the following votes were cast on each of the four propositions, respectively; PROPOSITION NO. 1.
