BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON AS FOLLOWS$ •, SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby finds and declares that it is necessar y to repait, surface and resurface, at a cost not exceeding sixty (60) cents per foot. the following described street, to wit; St, Mary®e •Boulevard beginning at tk a intersection of Waverly street with said Boulevard thence along said St. *Manry°s Boulevard to the intersection of Gipfert lane with said St, Mary's Boulevard; all said improvement to be within the limits of Sprinkling, Oiling; repairing surfacing and resurfacing District Number 8 of the City of Jefferson and all 'of 'said work to be done according to plans and specifica,.tiona„on file with the City Clerk. Section 2. The City .Council finds and declares it is advisable and to the best interestd of the owners of property to be charged with the cost of such work; that the said work shall be dine by the city without letting a contract thereof, and that the Street Commissioner in hereby diredted to 'purchase the necessary- material and employ the nee- eamary Tabor fdt the performance-of said work* and shall superentehd the same and keep an accurate account of the cost thereof. Section 3e *The cost of such repairing; "surfacing and re-► surfacing shall be defrayed by a special' tax; t'o be assessed in favor of th'e City of Jefferson on the adjoining property fronting or bordering ori 'the street where such work is' dine; in proportian that the linear . feeUbf eadh 'lot fronting or bordering thereon bears to. the total number of 'li-near feet °of aall property' .chargeable with the' tax aforesaid, in the territ©ry embraced within this, ordinance.
