5844 SIDEWALK ORDINANCE
An ordinance providing for .the.,construction of a sidewalk of cement
concrete material, four feet in width nix inches back from back of c'
curb, on the north aide of High Street, between Ash and Pine Streets,
and. abutting 159 feet on High Street owned by R.E• Glover, being' &

of the. City Engineer.
BE IT •4R'DA 1MD BY THE COUNCIL OP THE City of .Jefferson as Pi ollowa;
M1"` Section'1. That a sidewalk of cement concrete material, four feet
in width six inches back from face of curb, on the north side of
High Street, between Anh and Pine Streete, and abutting 159 feet on
High Stredt owned by R.E. Glover, being a part of inlota 401 & 4020
Sidewalk to be built under the supervision of the City Engineers
be constructed. and built within thirty days from the service of a
aopy of this, ordinance an the owner of the property hereinabove
described..
Section 2.. Within two days after the ,
y passage of this ordinance.
the..City C1erk..shall place in the hands of the City Marshall a.
certified copy of this ordinance, and said City Marshal shimll serve
or cause to be. served a copy of this. ordinance. on the owner or owners
above mentioned, by delivering a copy ,hereof to said owner or .owners
or by leaving it with some member' of his family over the age of 15
yeara, making his return on another copy of said ordinance, which
copy shall be filed in the 21Ajn 01xzk office of the City Clerk.
Section a.' In the event the owner or owners above x:
:'.. named. fail to construct said sidewalk as above directed, then the
City of Jefferson, under the
power and authority given it by- its,
cbarter.ancl ordinances, will construct said sidewalk .and will issue
a special tax bill against said, property for the coat of the
construction of said sidewalk. which said special tax bill will be
a lien agafnst the property above described.
Section 4. This ordinance shall' take effect and be in force .frown
and after ltd passage and approval.

BE IT ORDA IDLED.BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF jWFERSON AS FOLLOWS&
Section 1. Each and every driver of a motor vehicle shall bring
said Vehicle to a full stop on Pine Street immediately before entering
.` the intersection of Pine Street and Capital Avenue.
Section 2. Any person viakating the terms of this 'Ordinance
'shall,upon conviction, be deemed guilty of a.misdemeanor and punished
by ,a fine of not less than three dollars nor more than one hundred
dollars.
