# 3655 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A GRANT AGRMIENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AND THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, AND
AUTHORIZING ITS EXECUTION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOILOWSt
SECTIONI. That the Grant Agreement between the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, and 'the United States of America under and subject to the
terms of which the United States will by Grant not !at exeeefing in the
aggregate the sum of $ 7,500.00 aid said City of Jefferson, Missouri,
in financing the construction of a three story, addition and
al.ter6t'i6ns 'to the existing City Hall Building, includingthe
installation of an elevator and stairway, a copy of which Grant
agreement is filed among the public records of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, in the office of the City Clerk, and which Grant Agreement
is 'hereby made a part hereof, be and the same is hereby in all respects
approved.
SECTION 20 That the Mayor of said City of Jeffers6n, Missouri,
be •a:nd is hereby authorized and directed to execute such Grant
Agreement in triplicate on behalf of the City of Jefferson, Missouri,
and the City Clerk of said City of Jefferson, Missouri, be and he
is hereby authorized and directed to impress or affix the offical
seal. 'of said City 'of Jefferson, Missouri, to each of said three
copies of said Grant Agreement and to attest such seals
SECTION 3. That said Mayor be and is hereby authorized and
directed to forwith forwa.'rd three copies of said Grant Agreement
as executed on 'behalf of said CIJ:y of Jefferson, 'Missouri, tothe
Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works, Washington, D,C.
SECTION 4: That the Mayor Of the City of Jefferson, Ximmw=f�
be and he is 'hereby, authorized and empowered on behalf of said City
of Jefferson; Missouri to request, ' and consent to, modifications of or
changed in said Grant Agreement with reference to the designation,
date, denominations; medium of payment, places of payment, and
regi6tration 'or conversion privileges of the bonds to be issued
thereunder in order to comply with the requirments of law and of
the procee'dingd 'taken for the issuance of said bonds, and to execute
in 'the "same manner as said Grant Agreement any further instruments
that 'may 'be found desirable in connection with such modifications
of changes.
SECTION 5. That said Mayor be and he is hereby authorized
and directed 'to forwith send to said Federal Emergency Administration
of Public Works two certified copies of this Ordinance and two
certified 'copies of the proceedings of the Council in connection
with the adoption of this Ordinance, and such further documents
or proof 'in connection with the approval and execution of said
Grant Agreement as may be requested by said Federal Emergency
Administration of Public Works.
