street to-wit;
Vetter's Lane beginning at the north line of Miller Street;
Thence along Vetters Lane to the south line of High Street; all of
said improvement to be within the limits of sprinkling, oiling,
repairing, surfacing and resurfacing District Number Five (5) of the
City of Jefferson, Missouri .
Section 2. The City Council finds and declares it is
advisable and to the best interests of the owners of property to be ch
charged with the cost of such work- that the said work shall be done
by the City without letting a contract therefor, and that the Street
Commissioner is hereby directed to purchase the necessary materials and
emplo* the necessary labor for the performance of said work, and shall
superintend the work and keep and acrute account of the cost thereof.
:SECTION 3. The cost of such repairing, surfacing and resurfacing
shall be defrayed by a special tax, to be assessed in favor of the City
of Jefferson, on the adjoining property fronting or abutting on the
street where such work is done in proportion that the linear' f eet of xx
each lot fronting or abutting thereon bears to the total number of
linear feet of all property chargeable with the tax aforesaid, in the
territory embraced within this ordinance.
Special tax bills shall be issued evidencing such assessment and shall
become liens 'an *said property, and shall be issued and enforced as
provided by law.
SECTION 4. Cost of such tepairing surfacing and resurfacing
shall not exceed the sum of Sixty (60) cents per front foot, per annum
on property abutting upon the street aforesaid.
SECTION 5. All Ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
with this ordinance are hereby repealed .
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall take effect and be in :ex=.m
effect from and after its passage and approval.

# 3665 AN ORDINANCE, providing for the construe*ion of Sewer in Sewer
District No. 55. in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, and repealing all
ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, I11ISSOURIP

SECTION 'l. That the Ckty council. of the City of Jefferson,
missouri, hereby declares it deems itrneceseeryi.for-the health and
comfort of the inhabitants of the City, and for sanitary purposes
that their must be constructed as soo# as possible in Sewer District
No. 559 as established by ordinance, a sanitary sewer, and it is ordered
that the same be made and constructed without uneccessary delay,
that the said district sewer be connected with and into the sewer
in the center of the ten Mile Drive, 5 feet west of the easterly
cueb line of Forest Hill 81ace.
SECTION 2. That said sewer shall begin at a point in the center
of the Ten Mile Drive, 5 feet west of the easterly curb line of Forest L
Place; thence northerly parallel to the easterly curb line
of Forest Place to the notth line of Forest Hill Addition on the
Township Line,
SECTION 3 . Said sewer shall be constructed of standard
glazed sewer pipe and grade A cast iron spigot pipe and shall be
constructed in azl respects according to the plans and specifications
