SECTION 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with this ordinance be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.

# 3666 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON TO
E)MCUTE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY, A CONTR$CT WITH WEEKS MOORS CONSTRUCTION
COMPANY.
WHEREAS, on the 2nd day of August, 1934. bids were submitted
by various companies and contractors for the erection.
of a fire department building to be known as West Fire Station, and,
WHEREAS, the Weeks--Moore Construction company, a corporation,
of 207 ]Victual Building, Kansas City, Missouri, was the lowest and
best bidder, and submitted a "bid ' to ' erect complete said West Fire
Station, for the sum of $ 243,070.00. said work, when completed, to
comply 'in all respects with the plans and specifications as pre-
pared and filed in the office of the City Clerk by John M. Schaper.
ITCW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE' CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, TO-WITt
SECTION 'l. That the Mayor of the City of Jefferson, be and
he is hereby instructed to execute a contract on behalf of the
City *ofJ'efferson with " the said Weeks-Moore Construction Company,
a corporation, obliging the City of Jefferson to pay the sum
of V24,070.00 upon the completion of said Nest Fire Station in
compliance with the plans and specifications hereinbefore mentioned,
provided, however, that the contract which the Mayor is Hereby
directed to execute may contain a provision or provisions for the
partial payment of the contract prices by the City tb the said
Weeks Moore Construction Company in Partial payments as the work
progresses .
SECTION 2. It is further provided that the contract herein-
above mentioned shall contain as a part thereof, the plans, specifica-
tions and general conditions as completed by the architect agoresaid,
and now on file in the office of the City Clerk.
This ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after
the day of its passage and approval.
