ECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AYCON`.L'RACTCNITE VJ.EMS-MOORS CONSTRUCTION
COMPANY.
WHEREAS, on the 2nd day of August, 1934. bids were submitted
by various companies and contractors for the erection
of a fire department building to be known as East Fire Station, and
WF3EREAS, the VrEIMS-MOORE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, a corporation,
of '207 MUTUAL Building Kansas , City, Missouri , was the lowest an d
best bidder, and submitted a bid to erect complete said East Fire
Station, for the sum of $ 220876.009 said work, when completed, to
comply ad all respects with the plans and specifications as pre-
pared and filed in the office of the City Clerk by John M. Schaper.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWSs TO-WITt
SECTION 1. That the Mayor of the City of Jefferson be and
he is hereby instructed to execute a contract on behalf of the
City of 'Jeff erson with the said W eeks-Moore Construction Company,
t corporation, obligdtgng the City of Jefferson to pay the sum
of $ 22.;876.00 upon the 'completion of ' said East Fire Station in
compliance with the plans and specifications hereinbefore mentioned,
provided, that the contract which the Mayor is hereby
directed to 'execute may contain a provision or provisions for the
partial payment of 'the contract' 'prices by the City to the said
WeksP Moore Construction Company in partial payments as the work
progresses*
SECTION 2. It is further provided that the contract herein
above mentioned shall contain as a pact thereof, the plans, specifica-
tions and 'general 'conditions as compleedd by the architect aforesaid,
and now on file in the office of the City Clerk.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
the day of ots passage and approval.

# 5668 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON CITY, MISSOURI
Be it enacted by the City Council of the City of Jefferson City,
Missouri, as follows;
Section 1. Hereafter it shall be unlawful for any person,
firm or corporation, exeept a person designated by the State or
Federal Courts so' to do, to' sell or offer for sale within the City
of Jefferson City, Missouri, any goods, wares, merchandise or coma-
modies which have been purchased from or were ever a. part of the
stock of any bankrupt person, firm or corporation, whether he or
it be 'a person, firm, or corporation, except such bankrupt stocks
as were purchased from persona, firms or corporations regularly en-
gaged 'in buisness in Jefferson City, Missouri, for a period: of one
year naxt preceding the date of the adjusfteation of bankruptcy
unless and until such persons, firms or corporations shall have paid
a license of one hundred dollars ($100.00) per day to the City Col-
lector payable five days in advance. No person, firm or corporation
who shall sell or offer for sale within the City of Jefferson Catty,
Missouri; any stock 'of goods purchased from or which has ever been
the property of any bankrupt, as heretofore set out, may add to
said bankrupt stock in any manner whatsoever.
Section 2. Any person, firm or corporation, or agent
or employee thereof, who shall violate the provisions of this ord-
inance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction therefor ,
shall forfeit and nay to the City a fine of one hundred dollars
