Hereinabove described.
Section 2 Within two days after the passage of this ordinance, the
City Clerk shall place in the hands of the City Marshal a certified
copy of this ordinance, and said City Marshall shall serve or cause to
be served a copy of this ordinance on the owner or owners above z.
mentioned, by delivering a copy hereof to said owneror owners or by
leaving it with some member of his family over the age of 15 years
making his return on another copy of said ordinance, which c6py
shall be filed In the office of the City Clerk.
Section 3. In the event the owner or owners above named fail to
construct said sidewalk as above directed, then the City of Jefferson,
under the power and authority given it by its chatter and ordinances# .
will construct said sidewalk and will issue a special tax bill x
against said property for the cost of the construction of said
sidewalk, which said special tax bill will be a lien against the
.property above MrXt±zxex described. ,
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and approval.
