HomeMy Public PortalAboutORD03676 76 # 3676 Special ORDINANCE An Ordinance changing the grade of Mc Uarty Street from a point 136,6 feet west of the west line of Locust Street to the Wiest line of Benton Street south of Me Carty Street, and establishing a new grade therefor. WH +'REAS, it appearing that all the requirments of law for such cases made and provided have been made complied with in all respects in the above entitled matter, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CO'Z'Y of Jefferson, Missouri, as follows; Section 1. That the. grade of Me Carty Street from a point 136.6 feet west of the west line of Locust Street to the west line of Benton Street south from Me Carty Street be changed to the following line, towit; Beginning at a point on the centerline of Me Carty Street 136.6 feet west of the west line of Locust Street where the elevation of the grade shall be 235.78; thence on a uniform grade along and with the centerline of Me 'arty Street 94.5• feet where the elevation of the grade shall be 237.03; thence 50 feet on a vertical curve where the e elevation At 1J:xksockA2zR t; of the grade shall be 237.56; thence 87 feet on a uniform grade where the elevation of the grade shall be 238.25; thence 100 feet along a vertical curve where the elevation of the grade shall be 241.40; thence 163 feet on a uniform grade where the elevation of the grade shall be 250.35; thence 50 feet along a v vertical curve where the elevation of the grade shall be 252.64; thence 75 feet on a uniform grade where the elevation of the grade shall be 255.38; thence 50 feet along a vertical curve where the elevation o of the grade shall be 257.39; thence 50 feet along a vertical curve wher U&,-�L the elevation of thegrade shall be 259.14; thence 110 feet on a uniform grade where the elevation of the grade shall be 262.02; thence 100 feet along a vertical curve where the elevation of the grade shall be 261.53; thence 65 feet on a uniform grade where - the elevation of the grade shall be 255.19; thence 50 feet along a vertical curve where the elevation of the grade shall be 257.19; thence 24.9 feet on a uniform grade to the beginning of the present concrete payment at approximately the west line of Benton Street south of Mc Carty Street aouth 3r—Street where the, elevation of the grade shall be 256.09; and for a more detailed description of the grade as herein established reference is -made to the detailed plans on file in the office of the City Clerk, herein attache.,d, and made a part of this Ordinance by reference. (NOTE: The above elevations are referred to the City of Jefferson datum, which datum is 15.43 feet above the State Highway Department datum as shown on the above mentioned 11labns) Section 2. That said street be graded to the grade and grades as herein established. Section .3. The Council hereby finds that no benifits accrue to adjacemt property in the neighborhood and that no benefit district can be as certained or described but that all damages, if any, for said change of grade and grading shall be borne by the city at large and paid out oft the general revenue of the city. Section 4. The cost of said grading is to -be borne by the .Federal Funds as a part of the present Emergency Relief Measure and to be carried out under the ,supervision of the Missouri State Hight�,ay Department. The plans for the change of grade herewith attached are approved by the city officers as required by law. Section 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance be and the dame are hereby repealed. Section 6. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its approval.
