ORDINANCE NO. 62 -58
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA AMENDING
SECTION 9100 OF THE TEMPLE CITY MUNICIPAL
CODE BY AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF OR-
DINANCE NO. 1494 OF THE COUNTY OF LOS
ANGELES ADOPTED BY SECTION 9100 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE, SAID AMENDMENTS RELATING
TO MINIMUM SQUARE FOOT REQUIREMENTS IN
ZONES R -3 AND R -4 AND YARD SET BACK RE-
QUIREMENTS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPT,F CITY DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Zoning Ordinance No. 1494 as adopted in
Section 9100 of the Municipal Code is amended, added to an re-
pealed as follows:
(a) Section 9150 is added to to read as follows:
"Section 9150. Square Foot Requirement Zones
Zones R -3 and R -4. Sections 1, 17 and 18 of Ordinance No. 7894
of the County of Los Angeles, adopted by the Board of Super-
visors on November 1, 1960 are hereby adopted by reference by
the City of Temple City as if set forth in full herein. Said
sections establish 5000 square feet as the minimum required lot
area in Zones R -3 and R -4."
(b) Section 9151 is added to read as follows:
• "Section 9150. Setbacks for Major and Second-
ary Highways. Sections -2 and 5 of Urainance .No. 1894 are here -
�y adopted` 5y reference by the City of Temple City as if set
forth in full herein."
(c) Section 9152 is added to read as follows:
"Section 9152. Side Yards, Other Than On
Streets in Zones R -1, R -2, R -3, R -A, A -1 and A -2. Side yards,
other than on street's, 1n -Zones R -1, R -2, R -5, R -A, A -1 and
A -2 shall be five feet in width, minimum."
(d) Section 9153 is added to read as follows:
"Section 9153. Rear Yards. Rear yards in
Zones R -1, R -2, R -A, A -1 and A -2 shall be 13 feet minimum.
Zone R -3 the rear yard shall be 10 feet minimum."
(e) Section 9154 is added to read as follows:
"Section 9154. Accessory Buildings In
Rear Yards. Section 16, adding 469 only, of Ordinance No. 7894
is hereby adopted by reference by the City of Temple City as
if set forth in full herein."
(f) Section 9155 is added to read as follows:
"Section 9155. Modification of Set Back Re-
quirements. The City Manager, or -staff member designated by

him, may modify any set back requirements where good cause is
shown therefor."
PASSED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Temple City at a regular meeting thereof held on this 8th day
of January , 1962 , by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmen: Buchan, Fitzjohn, Merritt, Tyrell,
Dickason
NOES: Councilmen: None
ABSENT: Councilmen: None
