FERGUSON PLACE, OWNED BY J. C. BLEDSOE r.ND DORCA BLEDSOE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEjii1E!*tSON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION. I . That a . sidewalk of cement concrete material Four feet
in width , 1/2 feet back from face of curb, on the South side of
Atchison Street, between Moreau Drive and Dockery Streets, and abutting
50 feet in front: of lot 1 block 2 Fergxaon Place owned by J.C.Bledsoe
and Dorca Bledsoe, be constructed and built within thirty deys from
the service of a copy of this Ordinance on the owner of the property
hereinabove described.
SECTION. 2. Within two dpys after the passage of this Ordinance
the City Clerk shall place in the hands of the City Marshal a certified
copy of this Ordinance, and said City Marshal. shall serve or cause to
be served a. copy of this Ordinance on the owner or owners above ment-
ioned by delivering a copy hereof to said owner or owners or by lean-
ing it with some member of his family over the age of 15 years snaking
his return on another copy of said Ordinance, which copy shall be filed
in the office of the City Clerk.
SECTION. 3. In the event the owner or owners above named fail to
construct said sidew,.,1k as above directed then the City of Jefferson
under the power and authority giten it by its Charter and Ordinances
will construct said sidewalk and will issue a special tax bill against
said property for the cost of the construction of said sidewalk, which
said special tax bill will be s.".lien against the property above described.
SECTION. 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and approval,
