'LOCK Wt?DE A,-,JD P. NE TT IE VdADE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUITCII, OF THE CITY OT' JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION. I. That a sidewalk of cement concrete material Four feet in width, Three feet back from face of curb , on the North side of Atchison Street, between ILLoreau Drive and Dockery Streets, and abutting 95 feet 2 1/2 inches in front of lot 12 Racker°s Addition, owned by J. Lock Wade and P . Nettie Wade be constructed and built within thirty days from the service of a copy of this Ordinance on the owner of the property hereinabove described. SECTION. 2. Within two days after the passage of this Ordinance, the City Clerk shall place in the hands of the ity Marshal a certified copy of this Ordinance, and said City Marshal shall serve or cause to be served a copy of this Ordinance on the owner or owners above ment- ioned, by delivering a. copy hereof to said owner or owners or by leav- ing -it with some member of his family over .the age of 15 years, making his return on another copy of said Ordinance, which copy shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk. SECTION. 3. In the event the owner or owners above named fail to construct said sidewalk as above directed, then the City if Jefferson, under the power and authority given it by its Charter and Ordinances, will construct said sidewalk and will issue a special tax bill against said property for the cost of the construction of said sidewalk, which said special tax bill will be a lien against the property above described.
