return on another copy of said Ordinance, which copy shall be filed in
the office ' of ' the City Clerk.
SECTION. 3. In the event the owner or owners above named fail to
construct said sidewalk as above directed, then the City of " efferson
under the power and. authority given it by its Charter and Ordinances,
will construct said sidewalk and will issue a special tax bill against
said property for the cost of the construction of said sidewalk, which
said special tax bill will be a, lien against the property above
described.
SECTION. 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and approval.

BE IT ORDAIIMD BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWSB
S1:,CTION. I. That a sidewalk of cement concrete material,, Four feet
in width, Three feet back from face of curb, on the North side of
Atchison Street, between Moreau Drive and Dockery Streets,andd abutting
65 feet 2 1/2 inches in front of lot 15 Racker's Addition, owned by
Mutual Building & Loan Assn. be constructed and built within thirty
days from the service of a. copy of this Ordinance on the owner of the
property hereinabove described.
SECTION. 2. Within two days after the passage of this Ordinance,
the City Clerk shall place in the hands of the City Marshal G certified
copy of this Ordinance, and said City Marshal shall serve or c--use to
be served a copy of this Ordinance on the owner cr owners above ment-
ioned, by delivering a copy hereof to said owner or owners or by leav-
ing it with some member of his family over the age of 15 years, making
his return on nnother copy of said Ordinance, which copy shall be filed
in the office of the City Clerk.
