AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SIDEWALK OF CEMENT CONCRETE MATIERIAL, FOUR 1E, T IN WIDTH, TWO FEET BACK FROM FACE OF CURB, ON THE WEST SIDE OF BERRY STREET, BETWEEN HIGH AND MAIN STREETS AND ABUTTING 19819""IN FRONT OF LOTS I AND 16 BLOCK 2 LOWER JEFFERSON OWNED BY DIRECTORS OF JEFFERSOIi CITY SCHOOL BOARD. SIDEWALK TO START AT THE SOUTH CURB LINE ON MAIN STREET. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWSs SECTION. I. That a. sidewalk of cement concrete material four feet in width, two feet back from face of curb, on the best side of Berry Street, between High and Main Streets, and abutting 198'9" in front of lot 1 and 16 block 2 Lower Jefferson, owned by Directors of Jefferson City School Board, Sidewalk to start at the South curb line of Main Street, be constructed and built within thirty days from the service of a copy of this "rdina.nce on the owner of the property hereinabove described. SECTION. 2. Within two days after the passage of this Urdinance the City "lerk shall place in the hands of the City Marshal a certified copy of this Ordinance and said City Marshal shall serve or cause to be served a copy of this Ordinance on the owner or owners above mentioned by delivering a, copy hereof to said owner or owners or by leaving it with some member of his family over the age of 15 years, making his return on another copy of said Ordinance, which copy shall be filed in the office of the Oity Clerk. SECTION. 3. In the event the owner or owners above named fail to construct said sidewalk as above directed, then the City of Jefferson under the power and authority given it by its charter and ordinances, will construct said sidewalk and will issue a special tax bill against said property for the cost of the construction of s^id sidewalk, which said special tax bill will be a lien against the property above described. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWSt SECTION. I. That a sidewalk of cement concrete material, 3 1/2 feet in width, two feet back from face of curb, on the East side of Berry Street, between High and McCarty Streets, and abutting 140 feet in front of lot 7 block 8 Lower Jefferson, owned by Hubert and Clara Prenger, be constructed and built within thirty days from the service of a, copy of this Urdinance on the owner of the property hereinabove described.
