#. 3829. AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTICN OF A SIDEWALK OF
CEMENT CONCR�-,TE MATERIAL, FOUR FEET IN WIDTH, TWO FEET BACK FROM FACE
OF CURB, ON THE NORTH SIDE OF MAIN STREET, BETWEEN VISTA ROAD AND
BOCNVIL1E ROAD, AND ABUTTING 100 FEET IN FRONT OF LOTS 10 AND 11 BLOCK
B WALINKO PLACE, OWNED BY GEO. A. LUCE AND JESSE LUCE. CONSTRUCT
SIDEWALK TO CONFHRM WITH PRESENT CURB GRADE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWSt
SECTION. I. That a sidewalk of cement concrete material, four
feet in width, two feet back from face of curb, on the North side of
Main Otreet, between Vista. Road and Boonville Road, and abutting 100
feet in front of lots 10 and 11 Block B Walinko Place, owned by Geo. A.
Luce and Jesse Luces ( Construct sidewalk to conform with present curb
grade. ) be constructed and built within thirty days from the service of
a. copy of this Ordinance on the owner of the property hereinabove described.
SECTION. 2• Within two days after the passage of this Ordinance
the City ulerk shall place in the hands of the City Marshal a certified
copy of this Ordinance, and said City Marshal shall serve or cause to be
served a, copy of this Ordinance on the owner or owners above mentioned,
by delivering a copy hereof to said owner or owners or by leairing it with
some member of his family over the age of 15 years , making his return on
another copy of said Ordinance which copy shall be filed in the office
of the City Clerk.
SECTION. 3. In the event the owner or owners above named fail to
construct said. sidewalk ns above directed, then the Oity of Jefferson,
under the power and. authority given it by its charter and ordinances ,
will construct said sidewalk and will issue a special tax bill against
said property for the cost of the construction of said sidewalk, which
said special tax bill will be a lien against the property above described.
SECTION. 4. This rdinance shall take effect and be in force
