3839. AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SIDEWALK OF
CEMENT CONCRETE MATERIAL, FOUR FEET @N WIDTH, TWO FEET BACK FROM FACE
OF CURB, ON THE, SOUTH SIDE OF MAIN STREET, BETWEEN VISTA ROAD AND
BOONVILLE ROAD, ANT) ABUTTING 116 FEET ON MAIN STREET OWNED BY JAMES G.
BRUCE AND ffiAUD BRUCE. Construct sidewalk to conform with present curb
grade.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION. I. That a sidewalk of cement concrete material, Dour
feet in width, Two feet back from face of curb, on the South side of
Main Street, between Vista Road and Boonville Road, and abutting 116
feet on Main Street, owned by James G. Bruce and Maud Bruce, (Construct
sidewalk to conform with present curb grade)be constructed and built
within thirty days from the service of a, copy of this Ordinance on the
owner of the property hereinabove described.
SECTION. 2. Within two days after the passage of this Ordinance
the City Clerk shall place in the hands of the City Marshal a certified
copy of this Ordinance, and said City Marshal shall serve oir cause to
be served a copy of this Ordinance on the owner or owners above mentioned
by delivering a copy hereof to said owners or owner or by leaving it
with some Member of his family over the age of 15 Years making his
return on another copy of said Ordinance, which copy shall be filed
in the office of the City Clerk.
SECTION. 3. In the event the owner or owne -s above named fail
to construct said sidewalk as above directed, then the City of " efferson
under the power and authority given it by its Charter and Ordinances
will construct said sidewalk and will issue a special tax bill against
said property for the cost of the construction of said sidewal k, which
said special tax bill will be a lien against the property above described.
SECTION. 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.

BOONVILLE ROAD, AND ABUTTING 60 FEET IN FRONT OF LOT 16 JORDANtS
SUBDIVISION, OWED BY EDITH MAYER. Construct sidewalk to conform with
present grade.
