BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWSs
SECTION. I. That a sidetivalk of cement concrete materis;.l, Four
feet in width, two feet back from face of curb, on the South side of
Main Street , between Vista, Road and Boonville Road, and. abutting 52
feet in front of lot 12 Jordants Subdivision, v.,ined by L. W. Weiler
and Anne L. Weiler, (Construct sidew :.lk to conrow•in tivithl present mirb
grade) , be constructed a.nd built within thirty days from the service
of a copy of this Ordinance on the o•;ner of the property hereina.bove
described.
SRCTIOI,T. 2. Within two days after the passage of this Ordinance
the City Clerk sl a,ll place in the hands o f the City Marsh'a.l a. certified
copy of this Ordinance, a.nd said City 11-arsha.l sha.11 serve or cause to be
served a copy of this Crdinance on the o�+mer or owners above mentioned
by delivering a. copy hereof to s,�id owner or owners or by leaving it
with some raembei• of his faj-dly over the age of 1.5 years , making his
return on another col)y of said Ordinance, which copy shall be filed in
the office of the City Clerk .
SECTION. 3. In the event the owner or owners above named fail
to construct said sideynalh an _,bove directed, then the City of Jefferson
under the power and authority given it by its Charter and Ordinances,
will construct said sidewalk and will issue a speei .l tax bill against
said property for the cost of the construction of said sidewalk, which
said special tax bill will be a lien against the property above described.
SECTION. 4. This Ordinance shall take effect ,.nd be in force
from and after its pa.suage r:.nd approval.
