Main Street, between Vista Road and Boonville Road and abutting 52.25
feet on Main Street Owned by Anna Helena Bruns, (Construct sidewalk to
conform with present curb grade) , be constructed and built within thirty
days from the service of a copy of this Ordinance on the owner of the
property hereinabove described
SECTION. 2. Within two days after the passage of this Ordinance
the City Clerk shall place in the hands of the City Marshal a copy of
this Ordinance, and said City Marshal shall serve or cause to be served
a copy of this Ordinance on the owner or owners above mentioned, by
delivering a copy hereof to said owner or owners or by leaving it with
some member of his family over the age of 15 years, making his return
on another copy of said Ordinance;, which copy shall be filed in the
.Office of the City Clerk.
SECTION. 341 Fn the event the owner or owners above named fail to
construct said sidewalk as above directed, then the City of Jefferson
under the power and authority given it by its Charter and Ordinances
will construct said sidewalk and will issue a special tax bill against
said property for the cost of the construction of said sidewalk, which
said special tax bill will be a lien against the property above described.
SECTION. 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.

#3855. AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE PREPARATION OF PLANS BY THE CITY
ENGINEER AND THE ERECTION OF STEPS TO FORM A CONNECTION FOR PEDESTRIANS
FROM THE END OF MIGHIGAN STREET TO HIGHWAY 50.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFF,.,RSON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTICN. I . That the City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare
plans and specifications for the erection of a stairway of steps- to
enable pedestrians to get, from Michigan Street to Highway 50.
SECTION. 2. That said plans shall be submitted to the Council
at its next special or regular meeting, and when said plans are approved
by the Council, it shall be the duty of the Street Commissioner to
proceed to erect the steps in accordance with the plans so approved.
SECTION. 3. That the cost of the- erection of such steps shall
be paid for out of the TRAFFIC & VEHICLE FUND of the City of Jefferson.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after

SECTION. I. There is hereby appropriated out of any money in the
City Treasury not otherwise appropriatedtp for the purpose of paying
Accounts and Claims, the following:
