SECTION. I. That a sidewalk of cement concrete mate-:ria.l, Your
feet in width, 1.5 feet back from face of curb, on the North side of
High Street, between Hoefer Lane and Gordon 6trerts, and abutting 75
feat on High Street owned by H. J. Westhues , be constructed and built
within thirty days fror.•i the service of a. copy of this Ordinance on the
owner of the property hereinr,bove described,,
SECTICIT. ?. Within two days 9,ftr,r, the passage of this Ordinance
the City Cleric shall place in the hands of the City Marshal a. certified
copy of this Ordinance , and said City Marshal shall serve or cause to be
served a copy of this Ordinance on the owner or owners above mentioned
by delivering a, copy hereof to said owner or owners or by. leaving it w
with some meriber of his family over the age of 15 years, making his
return on another copy of said Ordinance, which copy shall be filed in
the office of the City Qlcrk.
SECTION. 3. In the event the owner or owners above named fail
to construct said sidewalk as above directed, then the Uity of
Jefferson, under the power and authority given it by its Charter and
Ordinances, will construct said sidewalk and will issue a special tax
bill against said property for the cost of the construction of said
sidewalk, which said special tax bill will be a lien against the
property above described.
SECTION. n. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.

BE IT CRDAINED BY THE COUIICIL OF THE CITY OF JEFI,7RSON, AS FOLLOWS:

High. Street, between Hoefer Lane and Gordon Otreet, and abutting 184
feet on High street, owned by Adam J. Hoefer -state, be constructed
and built within thirty days from the service of a copy of this-
Ordinance on the owner of the property herei.nabove described.
