AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY OF CITY TAXES AND ESTAPLISH� ING THE RATE OF TAXATION FOR THE CITY OF JEFFERSON. MISSOURI FOR THE YEAR 1936. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOIJRI, AS FOLLOWS s SECTION•. I. That there is hereby levied and assessed the following rate on all real estate and personal property within the limits of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, not exempt from taxation by the Constitution or the Laws of the State of Missouri, as, shown by the assessment book of the City of Jefferson Missouri, for the year 1935, and an all•Merchants and Manufacturers statements, made as provided by law. FIRST, - For the purpose of paying all current expenses of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, for the fiscal year, the sum of 0.60 cents on } the One Hundred valuation. SECOND. - For the purpose of paving the interest on the outstanding bonds of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, and for the purpose of creat- ing a sinking fund to retire the outstanding bonds of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum of 0.25 cents on the One Hundred Dollar valuation. THIRD. - -'or the purpose of establishing and maintaining a free Public Library in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum of 0005 cents an the One Hundred dollar valuation. SECTION. 2. It shall be the duty of the City Clerk to cause to be extended in the appropriate columns, opposite each item of the taxable property on the assessment book, as returned by the Assessor of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, and corrected by the County Board of Equalization the amount of taxes required to be paid by each person assessed as provided by Section I of this Ordinance. SECTION. 3. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION. 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force From
