3898. AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SIDEWALK OF
CEMENT CONCRETE MATERIAL FOUR FEET IN WIDTH, TWO FEET BACK FROM FACE OF
CURB, ON THE NORTH SIDE OF MAIN STREET, BETWEEN BOONVILLE ROAD AND
FOREST PLACE AND ABUTTING 835 FEET ON MAIN STREET OWNED BY JENNIE E.
DOUGLAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS F OLLOWSt
SECTION. I. - Ths - fc sidewalk of cement concrete material, Your feet
in width, Two •feet• 'bacx from face of curb, on the North side of Main
Street between B oonvilI6 Road and Forest Place and abutting 835 feet on
Main Street ownad by Jennie L. Douglas, be constructed and built within
thirty daysfrbni the"service of a copy of this Ordinance on the owner of
the property hereinabove described.
SECTION. 2. Within two days after the passage of this Ordinance, the
City Clerk shall place An the hands of the City Marshal a certified copy
of 'this • Ordinance and said "City Marshal shall serve or cause to be served
a copy 'of 'this Ordinance on the owner or owners above mentioned, by d
delive'ring .a "copy hereof to said owner or owners or by leaving it with
some iadmb6t� of his -family over' the age of l5 years making; his return on
another copy of said Ordinance, which copy shall be filed in the office
of the City Clerk.
SECTION 'a o • In the event the owner or owners a'?ove named fail to
construct said sidewalk as above diredted; then the City of Jefferson,
under the power and authority given it by its Charter and Ordinances,
'will construct said sidewalk and will issue a special tax bill against
said property for the cost of the construction of said sidewalk, which
said sueoial tax bill will be a lien against the property above desceibed.
SECTION. 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and approval.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWSt
SECTION. I. That a sidewalk of cement concrete material, Flour feet
In width, Two feet back from face of curb, on the North side of Main
Street, between between Boomville Road and Forest Place, and abutting
75 feet on Main Street owned by Henry Buehrle, be constructed and built
within thirty days from the service of a copy of this Ordinance on the
owner of the property hereinabove described.
SECTION. 2. Within two days after the passage of this Ordinance,
the City Clerk shall place in the hands of the City Marshal a certified
copy of this Otdinance, and said City Marshal shall serve or cause to be
served a copy of this Ordinance on the owner or owners above mentioned,
by delivering a copy hereof to said owner or owners or by leaving it
with some member of his family over the age of 15 years, making his return
on another copy of said Ordinance, which copy shall be filed in the office
of the City Clerk.
SECTION. 3. In the event the owner or owners above named fail to
construct said sidewalk as above directed, then the City of Jefferson,
under the power and authority given it by its Charter and Ordinances,
