SECTION. 3. In the event the owner or owners above named fail to
construct said sidewalk as above directedv then the City of 'efferson
under the power and authority given it by its Charter and Ordinances,
will construct said sidewalk and will issue a special tax bill against
said property for the cost of the construction of raid sidewalk, which
said special tax bill will be a lien against the. property above described.
SECTION. 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and approval.

#3902. AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SIDEWALK OF
CEMENT CONCRETE MATERIAL, FOUR FEET IN WIDTH. FOUR FE' T BACK FROM FACE OF
CURB, ON THE EAST SIDE OF CHERRY STREET, BETWEEN MCCARTY AND MILLER STREETS
AND ABUTTING 99 FEET 4 1/2 INCHES ON CHERRY STREET OWNED BY REVS H.
HAMMONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CIT- OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS$
SECTION. I. That a sidewalk of cement concrete material, Four feet
in width,Four feet back from face of curb, on the East side of Cher
Street, between McCarty and M#+ller Streets, and abutting 99feet 4 1/2
inches on Cherry Street, owned by Reve H. Hammons be constructed and built
within' thirty days from the service of a copy of this Ordinance on the
owner of the properly hereinabove described.
SECTION. 29 Within two days after the passage of this Ordinance, the
City Clerk shall place in the hands of the City Marshal a certified copy
of this Ordinance, and said City Marshal shall serve or cause to be
served a copy of this Ordinance on the owner or owners above mentioned
by delivering a copy hereof to said owner or owners or by leaving it
with some member of his family over the age of 15 years, making Izis
return on another copy of said Ordinance, which copy shall be filed in
the office of the City Clerk.

PARK TO THE INTERSECTION OF EWING DRIVE AND THE NORTH LINE OF PEYTON
AVENUE, AND THE NORTH SIDE OF PEYTON AVENUE, FRON THE INTERSECTION OF THE
WEST LINE OF EWING DRIVE AND PEYTON AVENUE TO THE INTERSECTION OF THE :EAST

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THF; CITY OF JEFITRSON, AS FOLLOWSt
SECTION. I. There is hereby levied and assessed at the rate' and coat
price per front foot as specified in Section 2 of this Ordinanee, �$gainet
the aggregate lots or tracts of land fronting or abutting on the roadway
of Ewing Drive on the West side thereof, from the southeast corner of
lot 9 Blo,ok 4 Oak Park to the intersection of Ewing Drive and the North
line of Peyton Avenue, and the North side of Peyton Avenue, from the
intersection of the eat line of Ewing Drive and Peyton Avenue to the
intersection of the East line of the Bald Hill Road, and the East side
of fl'j,o Bald Dill Road and from the intersection of the Bald Hill Road
and Peyton Avenue to the intersection of the Bald Hill Road and the East
line of Clarke Avenue in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, for the
improvement of the roadway said street aforesaid, including such grading
as may be neceaspry, for the reception of a cement sidewalk, the sum of
$828.15 ad the total costs of the imprrovement of said street and the
number of front feet fronting or abutting said roadway of said street
aforesaid, between the aforesaid streets amount to 739.0 running feet; the
cost price per running foot is $0.85.
SECTION. 2. For the purpose of paying said improvement of said
roadway of Ewing Drive on the Vest side thereof, from the Southeast corner
of lot 9 Block 4 Oak Park to the intersection of Ewing Drive and the
North line of Peyton Avenue, and the North side of Peyton Avenue from
the intersection of the eat line of Ewing Drive and Peyton Avenue to
the intersection of the East line of the Bald Hill Road and the East side
of the Bald Hill, Road from the intersection of the Bald Hill Road and
Peyton Avenue to the, intersection of the Bald Hill Road and the East line
of Clarke Avenue there is hereby levied and assessed the sum of $0.85 as
a special tax against each front foot of ground fronting or abutting
said roadway of aforesaid Street between the aforesaid streets, and con-
tained in such lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting said improved
roadway of said aforesaid Avenue Drive and road.
