#3915. AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN
' MOTOR FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT, AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT TO PURCHASE SUCH EQUIPMENT WITH THE AMERICAN-
LaPRANCE AND FOAMITE INDUSTRIES, INC.
BE. IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWSs
SECTION. I. Whereas the City Council of the City of jefferson,
Missouri, after considering bids of various fire equipment manufacturing
companies for the furnishing of fire trucks, has determined to accept
the bid of the American-LaFrance and doamite Industries, Inc. , for the
furnishing of two American EaFrance V-12 Cylinder, 750 Gallon Pumping
Engines with Booster Equipment at a cost of Eighty-two Hundred Fifty
Dollars each, f. 0. b cars, Jefferson City, Missouari, less two per cent
if two are bought, less five per cent for cash thirty days after invoice
or a total cost subject to above payment in thirty days after invoice
of Fifteen Thousand Three Hundred Sisty-one JJollars and fifty cents,
the specifications of such equipment being more specifically set out
in the proposal of the American LaFrance and Foamite Industries , Inc. ,
dated October 5, 1936, and directed by said company to the Mayor and
City �'ouncil, which specifications are made a part of this Ordinance
by references as fully as if copied herein.
SECTION. 2, The Mayor and City Clerk are therefore directed and
instructed to execute on the part of the City of Jefferson a contract of
purchase with said American LaFrance and Yoamite Industries, Inc. , in
accordance with the specifications and bid made a part hereof and in
accordance with the Ordinance.
