RESOLUTION 220-05
• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND
HILLS, TEXAS, REVISING THE PREVIOUS DESIGNATION OF ELECTION
JUDGES FOR THE SPECIAL ELECTION PREVIOUSLY CALLED TO BE
HELD ON FEBRUARY 5, 2005; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, February 5, 2005 is designated as a uniform election day; and
WHEREAS, by previous Resolution passed on November 16, 2004, the City Council has called a
special election for said date, designated a polling place for the election, and established and set forth
procedures for conducting the election, but did not name election judges; and
WHEREAS, by previous Resolution passed on December 14, 2004, the City Council named Mr. Ralph
Houey as the Presiding Election Judge, and Ms. Ruby Dillon as the Alternate Presiding Election Judge;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Ralph Houey has now indicated that he is unable to serve as an election judge on
February 5, 2005, so that it is necessary to revise the previous appointments;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND
HILLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. Aanointment of Election Judge and Alternate Election Judge. The following
named individuals are hereby appointed to serve as Presiding Election Judge and Alternate Presiding
• Judge, respectively, at the election to be held on February 5, 2005.

The Presiding Election Judge and Alternate Presiding Judge shall be qualified voters of the City. The
City Secretary shall, in accordance with Section 32.009 of the Code, deliver to the Presiding Election
Judge and the Alternate Presiding Judge notice of their appointments not later than twenty (20) days
from the effective date of this Resolution.
Section 2. Remainder of Previous Resolution Continued in Effect. In all other respects, the
Resolution of November 16, 2004 shall remain in effect and unchanged.
Section 3. Effective Date. This resolution shall be effective upon its adoption.
