RESOLUTION 222-05
• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND
HILLS, TEXAS, REVISING THE PREVIOUS DESIGNATION OF ELECTION
JUDGES FOR THE GENERAL ELECTION PREVIOUSLY CALLED TO BE
HELD ON MAY 7, 2005; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, May 7, 2005 is designated. as a uniform election day; and,
WHEREAS, by previous Resolution, the City Council called the 2005 General Election as
required by the City Charter and by other law, designated a polling place for the election, appointed the
necessary election officers and established procedures for conducting the election; and
WHEREAS, by such previous Resolution of January 25, 2005, the City Council named Ms.
Ruby Dillon as the Presiding Election Judge, and Ms. Jan Harrison as the Alternate Election Judge; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Jan Harrison has now indicated that she is unable to serve as an election judge
on February 5, 2005, so that it is necessary to revise the previous appointments;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND
HII,LS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. Aaaointment of Election Judge and Alternate Election Judge. The following
named individuals are hereby appointed to serve as Presiding Election Judge and Alternate Presiding
Judge, respectively, at the 2005 general election to be held on May 7, 2005.

T'he Presiding Election Judge and Alternate Presiding Judge shall be qualified voters of the City. The
City Secretary shall, in accordance with Section 32.009 of the Code, deliver to the Presiding Election
Judge and the Alternate Presiding Judge notice of their appointments not later than twenty (20) days
from the effective date of this Resolution.
Section 2. Remainder of Previous Resolution Continued in Effect. In all other respects, the
Resolution of January 25, 2005 shall remain in effect and unchanged.
Section 3. Effective Date. This resolution shall be effective upon its adoption.
