Public Comment: None received, none in attendance teams or in person. Approve Minutes for November 10, 2021, Meeting: Motion to approve meeting notes, seconded and unanimously passed. Eric's Report: Cindy Sterling started this week helping with inventory and books. Paul Dumont and Jim Bodle will be on next week to help with snow removal. • Working on counters — getting cut and sanded. Electrician will be in soon to Change bathroom light fixtures to LED and replace ceiling fan in ladies downstairs restroom. • Offer made to an assistant superintendent candidate. Checking background and references and will likely start in January. Has been a superintendent in the past and may be interested in replacing Eric when he retires. • Concrete bridges —found a company that builds fiberglass bridges. Specifications say they last 20+ years. $77K for five bridges delivered. Doesn't include installation. Can do rock riprap foundation, or piers. Contacted Matt Falvey to bid the installations. (Helical pile foundations — screwed into the ground). We need 6 bridges. • Paver contractor has been contacted to give an estimate for completing the clubhouse ramp, discussed adding in the steps on Birch one in pavers. Pavers have been ordered • Scoreboard — will be talking with the men's association on Friday. Allan's Report: • Tournament schedules has been sent to IGA, printing sometime in January. • $900 behind in revenue comparted to last year. Monthly Topic: Review Golf Professional's contract provisions • The advisory group needs to be thinking about a Golf Professional versus Contracting out for Professional Management Group (i.e. Kemper Group). • Ken would like to maintain a local Professional. • Eric would like to see all city employees be hired to manage and run the golf course. Golf Pro — would work for the city on salary, a portion of their salary could be revenue from pro shop sales. • Members will research other city courses for management styles. • Ken will take Lakeview, and Quail Hollow, Suzanne will take Purple Sage, Eric B. will take Warm Springs, Rita will take Idaho Falls, Kris will take Ridge Crest and Centennial. Todd will look into Bend city courses. Ask questions: Who pays the employees, on contract, tournament management, concessions (range, carts, pro -shop products), food service, chain of command, golf lessons. Old Business: Next Seasons golf fee schedule for golf activities. • Excess in Revenue goes into the CIP that pays for all the projects on the course. • Eric M. points out that it's not fair to raise greens fees and not raise the golf passes. There would be a wider separation of rates. Eric also points out that maintenance costs are increasing. • Rita suggests 3% across the board for greens fees and season passes. No public hearing would be required. • Motion made and seconded. 5 for, and 1 opposed. Motion passed to advise the city to raise rates 3% across the board.
