• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, EXPRESSING SUPPORT
FOR THE DALLAS/FORT WORTH INTERNATIONAL
AIRPORT.
WHEREAS, the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport was built in response to an order
by the United States Aeronautics Board that a jointly owned airport would best meet the
area's needs; and
WHEREAS, the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport has been the predominate
airport in the Metroplex for commercial airlines; and,
WHEREAS, the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport has completed a major
expansion project which has been financed by public utility bonds backed by airport
revenues; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, THAT:
• SECTION I.
The City Council expresses its full support for the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport
and the Wright Amendment.
SECTION II.
The Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport must have the ability to continue to grow its
operations without interference from other airports in the local area.
SECTION III.
All necessary legal requirements to ensure the viability and growth of the Dallas/Fort
Worth International Airport should continue to be in effect.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND
HILLS, TEXAS, THIS THE 23~d DAY OF AUGUST 2005.
